It's raining meows and wrufs here in Whitefield! :D
Old Madras Road is bad indeed, however traffic appears to be inching ahead very slowly...that's a relief!
Great to watch the rains from my balcony. While it can be exciting to be on the road in a good car,I cannot help wishing that the trip is an safe one too.Watch out for aqua planing too in addition to the normal weather associated hazards.
Koramangala had a lovely big rain and hailstones falling at about 430 today. Back home in HSR now and can hear the pitter patter of rain drops around us...I love it.
God bless the rain. We so badly need it. Please fill the empty dams and reservoirs for the thirsty people and animals.
I do hope that our dunderhead government now makes it mandatory for everyone to install rain water harvesting infrastructure regardless of the plot sizes!
I do also hope they stop giving permission to greedy creeps to build blocks of flats on 60x40 sites in residential layouts...
Totally in agreement with Mr. Balan.
Unfortunately, we are still relying heavily on rain for the power generations too so no/less rain means no/less power as the dams are empty.
O.T : On top of it I would strongly recommend Solar Lighting mandatory for every commercial property, no matter how much that costs.
That will eventually reduce the overburdened power generation centres which are struggling with these power outages.

Solar heating too mate. We live in a country blessed with scads of lovely sunlight. Why not use it smartly?
We educated blokes need to adopt all these good things first and the revolution will take its course down the line....over time...

South Bangalore(around HSR) is witnessing nature's own sound and lightning show, rain accompanied.

Its raining heavily near Begur road for the last one hour. Looks like this water alone can save our water crisis, if houses installed with a working rain water harvesting system.
But, tomorrow too, we will wait for tankers :(

If these rains were to solve the water crisis, by now it would have. Rivers still wouldn't be on their last leg. Its probably not raining where it should be (catchment areas) ... But boy!! What lightening and thunder! Pity the two wheel riders stuck in this.
Sitting in my balcony and enjoying the rain. Drove through a super hail storm on my way back home. Bangalore is back. :-)
OT:
Wow! Team BHP has threads of all kinds! And this one is surely one of a kind! :D
And regarding rain, well.. It's been bone dry for a week in Chennai with the mercury hitting 42deg.
The Mahesan cyclone had a very little effect in the coastal city! Wish it rains here! :/
I was on the way to pick my dad to Bangalore East Railway Station and train was late!
I was sitting in the car with my nephew when this storm happened!
Oh Boy, I was excited and scared like a kid! Car was hit massively with ice! We were putting our hands out and collecting the ice and then eating it! :D
Rain was so heavy for almost 25 mins that I was just looking up hoping no tree/branch gets loose! :Frustrati
Right now, rains stopped, just little thundering..but its HOT & Sweaty!!
I left at 10 pm from Indiranagar to pick up my sister who was in Forum and I got home only @ 12! Traffic @ EGL was terrible while getting there and heading back. The roads were flooded for the most part, there was tree fall that hampered traffic movement and the traffic itself was nuts. It really poured today.
I stay in Sarjapur area, outside Bangalore city (no, not the Bellandur/Ambalipura/Kaikondrahalli areas that many people incorrectly consider as Sarjapur). While it was raining heavily in the city yesterday, all we got here was heavy winds, lightning flashes and thunder echoes. No rain at all :-(
