Well, I was gonna single-out Robin as he stayed through the end. Wasnt he supposed to carry the team home, after staying for long and especially when he does not take singles of 2 and 3rd balls of the last over. I wish Kumble hadnt taken the first run.

Others, equally were a joke - Dravid clueless yesterday, Boucher giving catch practice, Kohli not realising there is a wicket-keeper. Not to take anything away from DC, but RCB gifted the victory to DC.

Edit: I agree to NC, Sachin proved the worse captain of the tournament so far.
And the semi's and finals, did drive home a point - Sehwag bowling those slow off-breaks to Gilly when he's on song and Kumble bowling the first over to Gilly yesterday. A part-timer can never equal a bowler, no matter what.

Hats-off to Kumble for his efforts yesterday.

Sehwag paid the price for not including a great bowler like McGrath in his side. When someone like Nannes the nanny could bowl like that, imagine what pidge could have done. Looks like a hatched ploy to insult the great man, but wonder why !

What a final performance by Kumble .. My respect has increased by many folds for him but poor performance by rest of the team .. Hate to see Robin in such bad form .. If this form continues then he might lose the place in Karnataka Ranji team also.

I had the same opinion about Bangalore after the 1st IPL . Guess KKR has something to learn from the Bangy team ...

Good - it frees Sehwag of any burden or distraction

Bad - Gambhir is new - so I do not know how things will pan out.

Lets wait up until December, as I am sure there will be few more teams to add to the current tally of eight. At least 2 more of them.

Is he allowed to do that, being an Icon player ? Or were the rules changed, can't recall.

Anyways, cricinfo says that Gambhir is not fit to play in the Champions trophy. Lets see how this pans out !
