For India:
Dhoni is the most successful ODI captain.
Kohli is the most successful Test captain.
Rohit is the most successful T20/IPL captain.

Like I said, GG doesn't figure anywhere near Kohli & that probably riles him up. rl:

I admire GG also for his contributions in key India wins but he shouldn't have come on the field to defend. He is support staff :)

Kohli and GG fined 100% match fees. Naveen 50%. Honestly they should have been banned for a game. As if these petty fines they care about. As a watcher it's spicy stuff and we enjoy it but sets bad example for the game. And how did Siraj escaped being fine. His attitude is worst of all who thinks he has achieved 500 wickets or something abusing everyone including his own team mates. Atleast Kohli has a legacy to do such shenanigans. Siraj is almost a senior now. Should start behaving like one.

Kohli gesturing to Naveen being his Shoes dust was uncalled for. Naveen is a new kid in IPL and Kohli is a veteran. Such behaviour doesn't suits a player of his stature. I hope they make it up later on.

Gautam Gambhir needs to take a chill pill. Let the bygones be bygones. He is a 2 time world cup winner and also probably the biggest contributor in both finals. Should accept he can never be as famous as Dhoni and Kohli and move on. Its childish behaviour now.

Also how a sitting MP has so much free time to commentate and being a Mentor is something to be looked at.

Anyways on a lighter note -

Gambhir has to realize if he hasn't already that he's retired & now just a 'Mentor' or Coach. I'm sure most players respect him for what he's achieved for India & thats where the respect ends. These antics are just needless. From what i saw later on Mayers was having a chat with Virat & Gambhir didn't like it & took Mayers away by holding his hand!rl: After that things got heated up. Also, wasn't aware Gambhir was getting a match fee!:cool:

After a series of action flicks, some with mindless hitting, the last two games were slow-paced thrillers. Bowlers playing on the psych of the batsmen. Enjoyed both of them :thumbs up

Kohli's antics yesterday was unbearable to watch.

As the years go by, IPL becomes less and less attractive to watch frankly speaking. It is increasingly more famous for (staged) dramas than the game itself. I have almost stopped following it. Will think of watching the final stages if at all.

I too feel the same. His talent is overshadowed by his antics. I wish he learns from the legends like Sachin, Dhoni how to stay calm and focussed.

I thought its pretty certain who are going to qualify for the Playoffs till some days ago. But now the top 4 have lost their past few games. This late resurgence by MI could make things interesting inspite of their shortcomings. The situation is such that Punjab Kings are languishing at no.7 in the points table but if they had won yesterday they would have jumped to 2nd spot!

With so many happening around GG and VK we have forgotten KL. Atlast a hamstring injury has saved KL from any further ignominy! Now the axe has fallen over Ro batting. BTW who should keep wickets and bat in lower order in WTC? Why not MSD!? :Cheering:

A debate on captaincy cannot be limited to a particlar series. Look, I have nothing against GG but he has to get over with the fact that the likes of MSD and Virat have served Indian cricket more than him and will always get more adulation and recognition.

Keep seeing similar comments about GG. I am no major cricket fan so pardon me if i missed something that happened sometime back.

But is it that evident that GG is jealous/envious of VK or MSD?

On the record, don't really care for both of them :coldsweat

Saw a news snippet a few weeks back that had VK talking about how his wife has made him a much calmer person and all. The recent outburst with GG had me thinking of that article :D

All in all, good drama for the sport and that does help somehow i would assume.
