Per an ET report the outlook on Crude is now bearish.

During the days of the last slump several analysts had projected Crude to be $40/barrel in the coming years.

With high surcharge/cess/other taxes, none of this will impact Retail fuel prices in India as the government is simply too busy collecting revenue.

It takes one to the point- why isn’t there a Government spend efficiency metric. You can keep collecting revenue from residents and continue to waste the monies collected. This cycle will always keep taxes high.

Being in the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry, hoping that the Crude Oil prices go above atleast 100 USD/Barrel. War with Iran will definitely be helpful in increasing the prices.
