Baleno, June 2004

Hi Guys,

I have a June 2004, Pearl Silver Baleno LXI (Bangalore reg.), done abt 8700 Kms, stock, kenwood stero with 10 cd changer and remote locking being added on...

Currently it is in Company car lease and I am joining another company which does not have this - So I am looking at a couple of options
1. Sell the car - Any ideas on how much I might get, and who might be the best ppl to get this done through,
2. Refinance - Existing car lease is with Orix and I am not sure how to evaluate refinancing options.. ( I kind of prefer this Since I have runnin and got used to this specific car..)

Any and all advise highly appreciated

Where is the location of your new employer? If it is in any other state prefer selling the car. Processing the papers for transfer for other state is a tedious process & the resale value of your car will come down.

No idea on refinancing

Well, I'd say that your car will fetch you max 4.8l if you are going to sell it. As for whom to go, I'd suggest placing an ad in Free Ads or Ad-Mag. Maruti True Value is where most ppl try to sell their old Maruti cars, but do not expect a good price from them.

Sell direct and it will help both you and the guy who is going to buy the car! You should have no problems in finding a buyer since the car is relatively new....

you can get ir refinanced by any group total paperwork expenses 2000. better as it is a new car and who knows your new company might compensate you for this...also as you said you are used to it. 8700km on the odo is practically brand new.

And if you plan to sell, dont even think about giving it for 4.8 ! thats a 2yrs old car cost. You should get min of 5.25 in bangalore considering 9months old car and 8700Km reading.

Tabrez, he'll be one lucky dude if he gets 5.25l for his car. I know it's only 9 months old, 8700 Kms and all...but that's just how much the resale is for a Baleno - it's no Honda City!

I was getting a 2003 (September) Baleno Vxi run 13,000 Kms for 5.3l - that too from TrueValue; And I didn't take it. Am getting a new Baleno Lxi for ~6l! Many ppl will think the same.....put-in a little more and get a new car.

You will not get a baleno VXi for 6l ! it would cost around 7.25l,
If you got Vxi for 5.3 (2003)then it was a good price, cause when at 2003 the guy would have paid almost 8.5l. The market has changed.
