It would suffice to say that what you saw was a poorly maintained example.
A well maintained example would look like in pristine showroom condition or even better, depending on the attention the owner decides to lavish on it.
But you bring up a good point... it would be great to see interior pics done up to different tastes by different owners.
Bring em on guys!!

Anuj - Congratulations!! BTW, was it you/your Safari outside the Vinayaka Temple at AECS layout? I saw a Cycus Grey LX undergoing pooja there around 7 PM.

Thanks, Yes, It was me, doing pooja there.
Couple of pics from my end:
Congrats Anuj on your purchase, BTW is your safari a BS4 variant (I am asking cause your car doesn't have the chrome grill and the rear view mirrors) or is it that a BS4 safari LX doesn't come with this?
It looks like the cycus grey color is becoming quite popular. Here's pictures of my ride when I went to Almatti,Belgaum last week:).

Thanks richie4u. It is BS4 variant and LX does not come with chrome RVM but new LX has chrome middle line in grill and chrome line below bumper. RVM is body colored with indicator. Interiors are complete two tone beige and blue instrument cluster, leather wrapper gear knob and steering wheel.
Yeah, I like Cycus Grey color of Safari as this color if maintained properly gives very good shine.
@ gowda79: buddy, you dint bring your safari? btw, nice shoes!
@ lukeskywalker: nice ride buddy. thanks for the pics. the third pic can be used for by the tata guys too.
@ pavan: wanted to see you. great.
Very nice photos, Looking into repeated flood even for 1 hour rain it appears more people will grab big vehicles which are slightly better than small ones. This thread should help many potential buyers to grab Safari!
Good going guys. I will post few of my Safari photos soon.
Ravi.

Yeah! I thought so too. So Jay, may be you could go first? Or someone else wants to show them off?
BH.
A quick update to everyone - Per my dealer (True Sai Works, Hosur), all Tata vehicles prices are marginally being hiked from Oct 1. Safari prices would increase by around Rs.15,000. He said this is 100% confirmed.
Disclaimer - this is not my words, but per the dealer. :)
I had booked a Mountain Green LX, but he came back saying there isn't a immediate Mountain Green available even at plant, and that if I chose to wait for it I might have to face the increased price.. I confirmed to him my second choice - Cycus Grey.

Agree with JSL. You would have definitely come across a poorly maintained vehicle.
Here are some picks of my vehicle; done ~24k kms over the last 1 year of possession. The last set of pics I might take for quite some time; left it at my parents place as of now.
And taken during night, just after reaching there.

Not heard of the Safari price hike; the only hike that I came across the last few days was from M&M, citing raw material price hike.
An old one, had never posted this. I quite don't know to get rid of that lens flare so swalpa adjust maadi.

@ Riju
Man, you never cease to surprise, thanks for a beautiful duet.
