Mine is a Safari Ex 4x4. I attempted that climb in 4L.

hey friends , what are wheel spacers used for. One of my friend says it would improve the ride overall. please:

And did it made it to the top??? I have driven the 3.0 DICOR in 4L and the feeling is incredible. The amount of torque and pulling power can take it out of almost any darned situation.

Gentlemen, please allow me to clarify on the B-pillar being black.
The 3.0 DiCOR has B pillars black across the range. The 2.2 VTT doesn't.
You guys are not taking this into consideration.

Absolutely! Thanks for reiterating that

wheel spacers have nothing to do with ride quality. its just used to make your tyre jut out the body line of the vehicle without the need to upgrade to fatter tyres. its just a ring type element which will be placed in between the wheel hub and your wheel which will push your wheel outside. but such an attempt can affect the dynamics of your vehicle at high speeds.

...AND have adverse effects on the wheel bearings.
Not really recommended. :)

But I read on T-BHP elsewhere about experiments of a member from Chennai ( could not recall Id) that in case of fitting alloys sometimes Wheel dia. is bigger then wheel hub then wheel becomes lug centered instead of hub centered and there are vibrations on high speed thus a spacer ring is required to Improved ride quality so I am confised here.
Are spacers and wheel cnetering ring two different things ?

If the effect of spacer is to centre the hub properly why should it affect the bearings ?

The spacers are for 'spacing out' the wheels so they kinda stick out of the wheel well. The centering rings are different; they circumferentially align the wheel to a desired point.

Spacers radically increase the forces acting on the wheel bearings, thereby reducing the life of the bearings. These are dynamic forces and impact loading, which have rather severe effects that you can barely guess intuitively.

Here's mine. This has been my family tourister since the last one year. I enjoyed all my drives on it. ALMOST 15 k IN 1 YEAR WITH 12-13 k ON HIGHWAYS. On her anniversary, I gifted her with her boots(Alloys).

Whats the cost of the side mirrors? They look fantastic.

@Abbey : Nice choice of alloys, although they now seem to be very popular on both Safaris' as well as Scorps'.

@ abbey: hey buddy, i feel your flower shaped alloys look too fuusy and feminine for a tough SUV... but thats my personal opinion, i respect your choice...

Yeah, I tried with multiple alloys but this suited more with my black safari, I really like it.
