feels sad to know that mate.
beautiful pics though.

@raj_5004: thanks. imho the scorpio looks just too good in black.

@anupmathur: well i wouldnt want to disclose the exact amount on an open forum, but just to give you a ball park, i made a loss of about 35-40% on the value of the vehicle at purchase. this is taking into account, claim charges, depreciation and tax payments(road-tax) which are not covered in ur claim.
my losses were elevated because the vehicle had about 70grand of aftermarket accessories.

I noticed that a few cars have chrome grills. I think it looks very cool , was this the case with all old Scorps? Any way of getting this onto a new one? The walrus tooth looks remarkably ugly but the all chrome grill looks butch.

Just a stick-on after market accessory! :)

Visited the MAD RIVER Cauvery over the weekend :) Full report and pics here:

NIP, how often do you wax your black beauty? And which brand is it? The finish and color are simply remarkable. I wont insult your hard work / maintainance by asking you if you are photoshopping the pictures, but trust me your scorp looks amazing despite the years.

Takumi-san, my scorpio has its share of scratches and small dings. But the pictures seem to hide all of it :) ALso, I think the black colour in photos hides it. In real, you can make out the scratches. I do not wax the scorpio at all, especially in this season. A couple of times maybe in a year and thats it. It regularly gets its Sunday bath, and in between if it gets dirty too much. Also, I do PS the pics a wee bit to enhance the levels.

Ok couple of more pics :)

far away on the upper right hand side is where I can see your scorpio lurking - blinking its headlamps...

I'm still not able to convince myself that the updated looks are for the better. I'll take the older looks anyday!
