Viman Nagar Pune. A good locality to buy house?

A family friend has forwarded a "sale" proposal of a property in Viman Nagar, Pune. Apart from the initial *bhoom* does it have the eco system to evolve into a nice residential locality? Or is it one of those many over-exploited real estate zones with chaos all around. Bangalore for instance is full of such "hot" areas which are nearly unlivable.

Appreciate if the local members can offer some details on this area and prevailing prices for land and apartments.
