Tension in Bangy

Folks

Just heard that there has been some form of communal unrest in and around Bangalore North.
Areas : RT Nagar, Munireddy Palya , NandiDurga Road etc.

Kindly ensure that you avoid these areas and reach home safe.

PS : This thread is to only warn people staying around those areas and for those getting back home from work. Lets not bring in any discussion about the cause for the same.Stay safe !!

Thanks Rjstyle...There's nothing on the news though about any of this. Are you sure its not just a rumour? But better to be safe.

i was about to go that side when some of the guys near my house informed me about it so stayed back.

There is news on TV now about the unrest in JC nagar (RT nagar) bangalore, guys pls take care if travelling that way.

Just got a call from my wife , one of her colleagues on his way to the airport had to turn back because of roads being blocked.

@ Sammyboy , It is not a rumour , infact tension started this morning as some anti social elements have throne a swine's head into a mosque in hebbal or reddy palya. My Colleague had a very tough time making it to work.

All routes leading to mekhri circle have been blocked. I had to pass by vasanthnagar main road must say its under complete mess traffic jams everywhere.

Thanks for the update. I hope people goving towards thoes places get through safe. Wonder what are these people trying to achive by thoes such horrible acts.

There is unrest but its under control, I spoke to a reliable source who works with a leading newspaper in Bangalore.

JC Road(Munnireddy Palya), Nandidurg Road, Coles Park area are sensitive.

shucks, i have run out of expressions for such ppl who do such things, guess i will leave for home (old madras road) n work from home rest of the evening. Everyone please be safe.

Update :

Lots of rumours flying around about the riots, I myself got calls asking to shut (We are on Infantry Road).

Fact remains that everything is under control and the Commissioner has also lifted all road blocks / curfew.

This is the advisory that was just issued by our company...

"Dear all,
There are reports about communal riots in Shivajinagar, TV tower, JC Nagar, JC Road and Hebbal. The police are out in force to maintain law and order.
The situation is under control, however, there are restricted movements on certain roads in the above mentioned areas.
Employees traveling under own arrangements need to be cautious on the roads"

Be careful guys.

Some minor unrest in JC Nagar - 3 cops hurt, no other damage. Prohibitory orders imposed in JC Nagar till 13th July. Rest of Bengalooru, peaceful.
