It seems they they had blasts at the hospitals 40 mins after the serial blasts to prevent any successful rescue efforts
What ? In hospital. I got this information, but thought that it was people are shifted to hospital. There were two blasts in hospitals. One hospital was Civil and one of my cousin works there in Cancer department.

Dad is now leaving for A'bad. There is a lot of checking going on in Vadodara. This was apparent when I was coming home from college. I hope my dad makes it to express highway. It looks like even internet network is down in Ahmedabad.

If dad is not able to reach our home in Ahmedabad by 12 in the night, I will also be leaving for Ahmedabad.

At this point, I dont like elctronic media. They are showing the email they received from anti-humanity group. Now this will give rise to increased tension in Ahmedabad.

The serial blast once again goes to prove that we are a country of incorrigible nincompoops, good at nothing other than condemning the blasts after they have taken place. The blasts are becoming so routine that one tends to lose count of them. Ahamedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Lucknow, Jaipur, Varanasi...In how many cases have our central or state agencies been able to bring the culprits behind these dastardly acts to book? The ministers make statements pointing their fingers at some terrorist organisation, cops and intelligences agencies start collecting bits and pieces of what is left at the scenes and then again it is time for the next series. Atrocious! USA is also a prime target of terrorists. Have we ever heard of a serial blast there? Not that these terrorists are not interested in doing similar things there. The reason it does not happen there is that they are eternally watchful and use whatever they have at their disposal to PREVENT such things. When are we going to learn!

....once upon a time, the Parliament of India had shootings......once upon a time, they caught the guys behind that......and surprise, the Courts actually convicted him and sentenced him to hang.....once upon a time, a clemency petition was filed.....once upon a time, the powers that be dont want to take "politically incorrect" decisions.....hanging, no hanging.....are you still looking for answers?

Glad to know this.

There were two blasts in two individual hospitals. One blast in each.
The two hospitals were L G Hospital and Civil Hospital.
Mobile network still down.
I heard that there is utter chaos in Ahmedabad. Dad will end his expresshighway travel in minutes.
I dont know how much time it will take to reach our home.

Was there a blast in Vastarpur ? Can any one throw light on this.

It seems that india has become soft target for terrorist.
Our govt do not learn from past mistakes and we people pay for that mistakes.
I don't think our govt is capable to contol these things.
Ahmedabad Bhpians, take care. Thats what we can say right now.

aaggoswami:

During the blasts in Bangalore, cellphone operators had disabled outgoing facility, you can try from a landline, maybe you can reach them.

We are trying constantly. Not able to reach them.
After reaching Ahmedabad, dad's mobile contact is also lost.
Dad last told that there is a lot of traffic jam. If not able to get more information, I will be leaving.

I request that if anyone has any news, please post here. It will be very helpful to me.

EDIT: Its around 3 hours that we are trying to get information. Still no success. I am leaving now. If any informtion about the present situation of that city, please post here. I will be able to ask other family members in Vadodara about the information for some time. The connectivity after around 60kms on expresshigway is a doubt. Till then I can get news.
Will post updates.
The number of human lives lost is more than 25 now as per the latest update I am able to see.
