Capability of 5-axis CNC. Mind boggling

Hi guys,
I have a long desire of building my own CNC machine. I just came across youtube and i am shocked to see 5-axis CNC is capable of milling solid billet aluminium to a engine block

Waiting for the day we use those engines on our cars

Awesome find dude. I have 2 Nos. 3-Axis CNC Milling (VMC's) & a CNC Turning Centre. Just hope that the Matsuura make 5-Axis gets affordable in India plus servicability is easier. I dream someday to start a Engine manufacturing facility for highend cars starting from the V6's. Right now i'm using Surfcam for my CNC Machining needs.

Just added another CNC Machine at my factory yesterday.

Here is how it was lifted into my Unit on the 3rd floor using a 50-ft Telescopic Crane.

@Anil, Vijay
What would be the approximate cost of the 3 axis and 5 axixs CNC machines?
What is the cost invloved if somene has to hire the (or get a job done) CNC machine for an hour?

Cost depends on size, make, etc. smaller one's start from 11L right upto 5 Crores for the bigger ones. Depends on your functionality / jobs to be cut on these machines. Hourly charges again depend on machine type, but a 3-axis machine similar to mine would be around Rs. 500 hourly since its a new machine, else you can get for Rs. 350-400 on 2nd hand machines. But of course i wouldn't give mine on hire because i will earn much more doing my work than giving machines on hourly basis.
