Yellow hat performance stores in Dubai.

(PLEASE SCroll down for images)
HEY guys I visited a store last week in Times square in Dubai called Yellow hat I was amazed to see the amount of performance and styling products that they offer.Below is a description of the company taken from their site and 2 pictures of what was in store for people visiting.

Yellow Hat is one of the world’s largest chains of Auto Accessory Superstores and Service Centres, with over 500 stores. Yellow Hat was founded in Japan in 1961 and by 2004 had a turnover in excess of $ 1.1 billion.

Yellow hat is synonymous in Japan with Quality and choice at affordable prices. Yellow Hat stock literally thousands of different products from hundreds of manufacturers around the world. They stock everything your car could ever need, including car air fresheners, oil and chemicals, alloy wheels, in car navigation, child car safety seats, car batteries, bulbs, car audio and vision, tuning and styling, car mats, books and DVD’s, and much more, basically everything you can think you would ever need for your car and more. On top of this Yellow Hat offer an Installation and Service facility for all the products they sell. Their stores really are a “one-stop shop”.

Yellow Hat only deal with the best quality suppliers from all over the world. They also stock a range of products which are normally only sold in Japan and the quality of which is the highest in the world. These products will be exclusive to Yellow Hat stores. You can also buy all your favourite local and international brands and you will find special “Exclusive” products from these brands which will only be available in the UAE, in Yellow Hat stores.

The showrooms are shopping mall standard with exciting products displayed for the customer to interact with. Check out the 10m wall of sound in their showrooms and the demo cars on display, showing exactly what your car could look like after the “Yellow Hat treatment”

Pricing is very important to Yellow hat and they ensure that they constantly check prices in other stores to ensure they are highly competitive. Yellow Hat showrooms always offer a range of prices for the products they sell and they sell products from 2 AED all the way up to 20,000 AED and so whatever you car and whatever your need Yellow Hat will offer you a competitively priced choice. On top of this Yellow Hat offer warranties never before seen in the Middle East. On many products (subject to conditions) they offer a one for one, new replacement on faulty products up to two years after purchase and repair warranties on products of up to 5 years (subject to terms). On top of this if Yellow Hat installs any product which you have purchased from their showrooms they will add an extra one year warranty (subject to terms) totally free of charge.

Yellow Hat are able to offer Free extra warranties, due to the exceptionally high standards of their installation staff, all of whom have to go through vigorous industry and specific Yellow Hat training courses before they can work on any customers’ cars. The staff also attend regular training programs throughout the year and we operate a spot-check process to ensure standards remain the highest in the industry. The same goes for our showroom staff. All our showroom staff receive comprehensive product and customer service training and undertake regular update and refresher courses throughout the year. We actually fly specialist staff over from Japan, throughout the year to train and work in the stores to ensure quality standards are maintained.

Yellow Hat is a multicultural company, they employ staff from every part of the world. When you enter one of our stores you will find staff from the Middle East, the Far East, Europe and Africa. We foster a culture of team spirit and we all work together, everyone helps customers in the showrooms, including the senior management. Our policy is that the customer is the most important person in our company.

So the next time you need something, anything for your car go to a Yellow hat store and if we don’t have it we will try our best to find it for you. You will also find a huge range of products you have never seen before and did not know you needed until you saw it!

Yellow Hat is opening its first showroom and installation centre in the Times Square Shopping Mall, on the Sheikh Zayed road in November and more branches opening next year.

Been there but frankly it is a bit disappointing after the hype - it is not a lot more than a very large version of the Paki "accessory shops" on Naif Road, and about 10 times more expensive!

Steer, I don't think its that bad dude. If you may, that section with the suspension upgrades and the headers looks pretty interesting dont you think? unless its a jag you wanna upgrade that's different. All in all I think its pretty good, maybe not the best but yeah it has quite a few things that money can buy

Go to Liberty Sports in Sharjah for performance mods and Carbon&Chrome for the cosmetic ones. Unless you have a lot of money to spend - then you head to Quartermile for the really exotic stuff.

IMHO there's nothing different in what Yellow Hat offers - hell, some of the HU & ICE inquiries I receive from India they really have no idea about and since I have no idea either they cant even give me any alternatives.

Carbon & Chrome.... Slurrp Yes Yes, I know. The infamous 1200bhp Green Mamba (Toyota Supra) from their stable. I am planning for a visit in the 2nd Week of November. Hope to enjoy the sight.

I went to this store during my last visit to dubai in april. Pretty nice but most of the stuff was china made.
Picked up a seat belt clip to prevent it from being too tight on the waistline and some leather cleaning stuff.
Its just a glorified version of our milan-subway accessory shops in bombay.

I've been to 3-4 Yellow Hats in Japan, and i frankly feel its over-hyped. They have some good stuff no doubt, but at the end of it quality matters. In comparison, Autobacs rocks. Everything right from the presentation, stocks, quality and service is top-notch. And this is personal experience at Autobacs in japan, singapore and us.

P.s: Autobacs is planning to venture into India very soon. Hopefully by the 1st half of next year.

I speak only about the car audio part - "Same here".

I know many "dealers" in India who have more gear and from more varied and perhaps better brands in stock than what these guys had.

True. I was inquiring about some interfaces and adaptor kits and I pretty much had to look up the shelves myself and figure it out.

Steer..carbon and chrome isn't exactly pocket friendly either, atleast thats what I feel. apart from that, I'd say that if there's some serious tuning involved then, ofcourse there are many other places to go.

They arent pocket friendly by a large margin, but at least they have all the stuff you expect them to stock and can do some serious work.

YellowHat is so amateurish that I spent 15 minutes on the phone talking to each of their Audio salesmen one after the other because KPZEN wanted a specific HU. None of them have heard of Eclipse HUs "Sir we have Sony, Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, Alpine" - the Naif Road shops offer more variety and that is where I'm heading this weekend with KPZEN's request.

Exactly my point - whats the point in a Car Accessory Superstore (that they bill themselves to be) if you still have to go to the neighbouring grocery stores?

GWT/CAP and Quartermile both have Eclipse HUs, but not the version that kpzen wants - they have all the high-end stuff that costs Rs.20k and more.
