Shouldn't this be in the Official funny pics thread?
Anyway, this looks like a publicity stunt (both the cars are the same colour and same make).
But if it was a incident then maybe a truck sized vehicle was reversing with its reverse lights not working and banged this car hard and another car was just coming up behind.

I don't think it had anything to do with braking. Look at the first cars, it's hood has been damaged. It must have hit something and the other car must have rear ended this one.

the two cars were probably following each other very closely when the first car rammed into a truck or another car or somthing and the second car couldnt stop in time and hence this

Just a vague thought but coudn't this happen if the 2 cars are being unladen from a company truck in two & one of them from top rolls down on another one. I know this sounds weird & there's no truck in sight but i can of any other way. If the vehicl did slide under the other shouldn't the windshield be shattered ??

since the steering wheel of the first car is towards the other lane, seems like it was trying to avoid another vehicle in front when it hit the other vehicle.if you look closely ,the LHS of the vehicle is damaged ,which says that it hit something on the LHS of the road
maybe the 3rd vehicle is not in the picture ,but it should be definitely there somewhere near.

also i dont agree with the truck reversing theory ,this accident has taken place on the main road .so no truck will be reversing on this 2 lane road.
