Team-BHP discount hasnt found its way into chinese cuisine yet:)

But, if you find BBQ Nation and IndiJoe wont be special on your birthday then let me warn you Grand Wok is definetly not a place for a special occasion. Its just an above average chinese joint.

Special Restuarants for me would be following ( due to they being expensive and having good ambience) :

a) Zafraan Exotica/Nirvana
b) Waterfront
c) Ohri's Serengiti
d) Mainland China
e) Kebab Factory

All said and done, recommend you go to Sholay and avail Team-BHP discount (20%) and you will enjoy their superb food, decent ambience and damages should be in your budget

OT: Punjabi by Nature has shut down ( good riddance) and Yellow Chilli is looking for buyers ( Would be a relief for Hydeez foodies)

thanks mobike for suggesting so Sholay it is, by the way i'm not saying bbq nation isn't good but been there many times that's what i meant :)

Where is this sholay? near satyam computer office?

Lane exactly opposite Shoppers Stop, Begumpet. And, yes lane next to erstwhile Satyam Computers office.

Do annouce to the maitre'd your from team-bhp before placing the order.

Try their Bathinde De Kukkad, NV Platter, Chicken Tikka Masala and Veg Pulao. Do mention to make the food medium spicy as offlate they were pretty generous with that stuff.

Enjoy !

I had been to 'MAYA BAZAAR' last evening and ordered the following (SILVERWOOD +4)

Chicken 65-Was really good
Chilly Garlic Chicken- This was great.Perfect
Egg Masala-This was the star dish, cooked to perfection
Ginger chicken-Very average,can be avoided
Butter Naan and Tandoori Roti-Yum, specially Butter Naan.
Mutton Biriyani &-Please avoid, it was andhra style and mutton was not not tender.
Egg fried rice.-Again the best.

Total Damages-Rs 800 with tips.

Will visit this restaurant again and again

Just been to Naturals(srinagar) for the first time. Had Sitaphal and Tender Coconut, very tasty. Should have had Tender Coconut first and then Sitaphal but did the other way, couldnt enjoy coconut flavour. Nice VFM and tasty :thumbs up

Not everyone will enjoy Tender Coconut and watermelon, one has to develop a taste for it

Please try roasted almonds during your next visit.

Btw-Sitaphal is my favourite too.

Thats a lot of eating out. Cut back a little on eating out:)

So egg fried rice was the highlight. Need to go to MB only for that dish. I was very impressed with that one particular dish.

Somehow i approached Sitaphal with a lot of hope. I thought i will feel the flavour of sithapal along with small chunks of the fruit. But, alas it was not there so didnt get that feeling of elation.

Fell head over heels in love with Roasted Almond. The almonds in them are quite a bit and were as crispy as the ones found in Herschey's Chocolates that i have been eating ( 1/2 bar daily) from last couple of weeks:D

What options are available for food at the arrival/ departure at the airport for a quick bite ? I need to pick someone up this weekend and was hoping to grab a quick bite.
I had seen a mcdonalds long back - is it still operational ?

McD is still operational. In addition, there is a food court on the ground floor towards the demostic gates that has plenty of options to choose from.

Cheers,

The best is Mcdonalds.

They have two outlets, one at arrivals and the second at parking.

I love to pick up McAloo Tikki burger and a large strawberry milk share whenever i visit the airport.

Btw-I dearly miss my favourite Choco Muffins i use to munch at Delhi airport.

I think there's a Subway as well in the arrivals level.

I had the Sitaphal flavor at Shree Raadhe in Ram Koti. It had the chunks of fruit in it and wifey like it the most but I did get the Sithaphal fruit taste though in my opinion but still the taste is kind of different and you need to acquire a taste for it. But I liked the other flavors there like Arabian Delight, Belgium Chocolate, Hazel Nut...
Cost Rs. 30/- per cup or Cone(two or three types were there).

Cones are normal ones and waffle ones. usually they charge a measly five or ten bucks extra for the waffle cone.

Where is this outlet in Ramkote?

I am a regular visitor at Shree Radhe (formerly known as Ras-Ranjan) @ PG Road and Now AOC Center from last few years.

The best flavors other than Sithaphal are

Chappan Bhog (dry fruit mix)-Great taste.
Fresh Strawberry-Pieces of strawberry in it.
Badam Angeer-Please try this, heavenly.
Choco chips-

He sells wonderful frozen Aam Ras during summers, Rs 90/kg.

Wow-Pav
A concessionaire stand has come up in front of the shop which was earlier famous as "Eeshwar Video Library" which is located just next to the Kanti Shikara Apartments Entrance Gate in the lane connecting Punjagutta Main Road and Yashoda Hospital on Raj Bhawan Road.
It is named Wow-Pav & sells Vada-Pav and Dhabeli.
Here you pay 15/- for a Vada-Pav and get clinically clean stuff.
The guy dons disposable gloves and heats the vada and pav in a microwave before assembling and serving it.
Did not try the Dhabeli.
Taste wise, I will not want to go back there and would prefer to drive down all the way to the Gujju vendor opposite Dimmy's Paan on PrenderGhast Road.
Anyway, at least there is an option now in Punjagutta area in the evenings after 6pm.
