They have plastered hoardings all over J.Hills. Even i am keen to see who goes first and comes back with a good review before deciding to go there.

Frankly, their location is a huge turn-off for me

I have no idea about the food but, the gaming is really worth a try. They have a wide variety of devices there.

Cheers,

I had my lunch at the Asal dhaba.
Its beside the more famous Gur Nihal dhaba.
Had reviewed the thali there earlier in this thread.

I had a plate of Maki ki Roti and Sarson ka Saag.
Rs 40, 2 rotis with a bowl of saag, some onions and a topping of butter.

Total VFM and also quite tasty.

Also included a Candy Kulfi. Rs 10.
Nice.

There are quite a few other names that i am sure you will adore:D

Last night, had dinner in my second home " Reshmi"lol:

What is there to say? I have reviewed it to death already.Wifey's cousin was in town from Delhi so took her out for a quick dinner.

Awesome food as usual.

Then a nice drive on Necklace road then wrapping up the evening with a "Midnight Beauty" and "Monica Lewinsky" at Ohri's Basheerbagh...LOL

Been to newly opened Bikanervala outlet at Road no:1 , banjara hills, beside the karachi Bakery. Went for lunch today. They have the buffet arrangement on the 1st floor. Pure veg. The spread was nice specially of the salad and dessert section. In salad they had the Italian pasta salad, scissor salad, tossed salad, Green salad, fruit salad, corn and peas salad all kept on a bed of ice. Scissor salad was very nice.
Soup had only one option : Tomato soup
Starters : again only one, paneer and aalu tikka with chutney
Main Course : Veg biryani, white rice, dal tadka, Gatte ki subzi, shahi paneer, Paneer hara tikka gravy.
Breads : butter naan, plain naan, laccha paratha and roti.
Desserts: 2-3 varieties of burfi, gulabjamun, icecream and four colors of jellies. (size of burfies were quite small, so eat more or less but it cuts wastage)
The buffet was nicely arranged and decor was good. In all a very clean experience. Liked the food too. The hostess is courteous:).
Buffet price : 210 per pax. Total expense including tax was 491/- for two.
Last evening too went there to check the place and had 1 pineapple cup for 34/- and 1 indrani cup for 38/-. Indrani cup was the better among too.
It will be a delight for all chat and sweet lovers. Many varieties and many options.

Despite most of the hotels closed yesterday, after a lot of hunt saw that KFC, Himayathnagar opened their shutters from the side after 9:00pm and were serving take aways.

So ordered the following :-

1. Chicken Snacker-1 No
2. Original Receipe- 2 Pieces
3. Hot Chicken Wings-7 Pieces

I love the wings with their dip. Original receipe was also quite good.

Somehow, i prefer KFC over McD's:thumbs up

I read on burrp that Clove at The Platinum Hotel has this weekend brunch. Description from burrp (edited version)

Quote:

Time: 11:30 AM - 5:00 PM Plan for a wonderful Weekend Brunch on Saturday and Sunday...etc..etc.. buffet brunch including breakfast and lunch goodies, a-la-carte fare apart from live counters , dessert buffet , salad bar & an array of desserts with a very attractive price of just Rs.351 per head.
I am really amazed at the prize. Any TBHPians been to that restaurant? How is it?

And +1 to mobike008's query: Any restaurants in Secunderabad /Husain Sagar /Himayatnagar area that serve weekend buffet lunches /dinners?

Ashwin, if your looking for a romantic dinner then " Waterfront" on Necklace road is a superb place for the same.

Also, do not miss Ohri's 70mm which is also on Necklace road ( about 100 meters from Waterfront). They have one of the best and largest buffet spread. Weekend Lunch spread costs Rs.225++. Also, one heck of an ambience

Some more great buffets are :-

1. Barbeque Nation ( Rd.No 1 Banjara Hills) about 4 kms from Platinum Hotel. Its Rs.275++ for lunch and you can barbeque your own kebabs. Good experience and great food

2. Angeethi ( Rd. No 1 Banjara Hills), actually its opposite to Barbeque Nation. One of the most VFM lunch buffet in town and my favorite north indian restuarant. Weekdays lunch price is Rs.190++

3. Another good hotel on Necklace road is "Moksh" which is Rs.199++. Good food and vast spread.

Never been to Clove as its too close to my house:D

Just back from much hyped Bikanewala after a "chatful" of lunch.
After a Rendez vous with family (joined from office),we thought of heading to the buffet, which sounded uninteresting. So headed to the menu board of chats and savouries. We ordered:
- Pav Bhaji (Rs.50)
- Chole Bathura (Rs.60)
- Bhalla Papdi Chat (Rs.40)
- Pani Puri (Rs.35)
- French Fries for Junior (Rs.40)

Pav Bhaji was okie as the Bhaji was a bit watery and small in quantity, but the Chole Bathura was absolutly delicious.Better half was tasting other chats sans chat with me :-)
I headed for the desserts section which was a colourful treat. There were all sorts of khoa, ladoo, burfi, cham cham delicacies which made me turn crazy. Finally opted for :
- Malai Rabri Cup(Rs.36)
- Channa Slice (Rs.18)
Both the sweet savouries were in good quantity and Rabri was sufficient for 2(thought I didnt share any) and they melted in my mouth.
The overall experiance was good, ambience was clean, neat and inviting. You can find loads of namkeen too to carry home.A must visit once.

Total Damages : Rs.280 (no tips)
