Logged in to see such a shocking news. The moment I read the title knew it was an accident

Very tough to cope up.

RIP, HARI

Similar one on Sunday too

The Hindu : Front Page : Lorry runs over motorcyclist, pillion rider hospitalised

Quote:
reportedly lost control of his vehicle after the handlebar hit the first of the three movable barricades placed across the road by the Chennai Suburban Traffic Police to regulate the speed of vehicles as there is a pedestrian crossing ahead.
Both fell from the motorcycle and even before Thomas could get back on his feet, a goods-laden lorry ran over him. Traffic police said a couple of people had noticed the motorcycle hitting the barricade and falling, but had not noted down the registration number of the lorry that sped away.

This is very tragic news.
I remember that Goa trip when i met him for the first time. A very enthusiastic kid, whose knowledge about automobiles defied his years. Still remember how happy he was when he saw an old "Landy" parked near some restaurant on our way to goa.
RIP Hari.
And may God give strength to his parents. They absolutely completely adored him.. No decent family like theirs should be made to suffer like this.

Saw this news now and feel very sad. It's such a loss for his family and I hope they get the strength to bear it, especially the mother.
We all take risks on the road and it is just a matter of chance whether you end up being a statistic or experience the rush and live another day. Still better to be safe than sorry.

RIP Hari. Though I did not have the fortune to meet him in person, I had read a lot of his posts and I really miss having him in our midst. May his family get all the strength to bear his loss.

This is so tragic.

I met him on one of the Chennai OTR's and my first impression was his contagious enthusiasm towards automobiles in particular and life in general, as only the very young can have. He was a really sweet guy.

RIP my friend.

May his family have the strength to bear this loss.

Lal.
