I am planning to go to Delhi for attending a training near
"Gandhi Smriti & Darshan Samiti, Rajghat"

Can anyone suggest good (budget) hotels from Sunday evening (Check in) to Tuesday evening (Check out)

Would be of great help if any BHPians advise about the best modes of transportation to & from the airport to the hotel, and also to the venue.

You can find budget hotels in karol bagh and Paharganj which are about 30mins from Rajghat.

Best is to take a pre-paid taxi (counter inside the terminal before exiting) from the airport to the hotel.

As arush said do pickup a pre-paid taxi from airport only. Preferably 4343-4343 one, which are supposed to be neater one.

Best place would be Paharganj adjoining New Delhi railway station which is about 10-15 mins drive in an autorickshaw to Rajghat. You would find decent hotels and plus you can bargain, walk around till you find a suitable hotel. But the area is crowded since its located near the railway station, and watch out for touts.

Or you might also be able to find a few hotels in Daryaganj, which is about 10 mins walk from Rajghat.

From the airport you can either hire a pre-paid taxi, or you can also avail the bus service run by the govt. which runs till CP (Connaught Place) from where you can take an autorickshaw.

There is no hotel in the 5-10 minute walking ( or rickshaw )apart from small ones in Daryaganj
You can though find out tonnes of hotels at Paharganj which will take you about 15 minutes by an auto.

This too. In addition, there's ginger hotel at Ajmeri gate. Rajghat's 10 minutes away in an autorickshaw.
