Chances are that your FILESIZE is too big, coz if it was imagesize i think the website would resize it.

But yes,
Simplest way = Email it to me (or shan2nu would be willing as well im sure) and we will resize it for you n send it back.

The maximum size of your custom image is 90 by 90 pixels or 19.5 KB.
Use your phone CD or any image editing software to cut the physical size of the image also. Try to keep the same size what you're going to see it finally.

Those who are not able to put the Animated pictures as your Avatar because of the file and image size described above, here is a simple solution.

Go to this website >> Upload your animated gif image from computer >> Select Manual resize >> input manual size 90 W x 90 H >> then click send.

You will get the resized image on the screen , simply click the image to download it and later use it for your T-Bhp Avatar.

Resizing animated GIF

After Experimenting for well over an hour and many attempts finally got my avatar re-sized to almost my liking . The link given by wildon works well , but in case of animated .gif files its not very effective. The image gets distorted and the compression is not proportionate when it comes to width to height compression.

I tried using Image Ready by Adobe and after much experimenting I figured out on how to resize a Animated Gif. No thanks to google this time.

If your using PS 7 , here goes ( am not very good at it , just learnt it by experimenting)

1. RIght click >open with > Image ready

2.On the main window, look for a smaller window with the heading Optimize/Layer

3.To compress the size to 29 kb or below .In the Optimize window , you have a tab , which is set at custom , change it to "web" .

4. Now to edit the gif to 90*90 size , on the top left side click on the "Image " tab on the scroll down menu click on "Image size"

Choose "Constraint Proportion"

Now of the given dimensions in the pop up window , if both are 90 or below leave it as it is , else play with the percentage box till both values come to or below 90.

To save the same
File > Save optimized as > Ok .

To the PS Guru's.. is there any other way to resize a animated Gif without sacrificing the quality of the image.

Thanks

GIF files have a limit of 256 colors in an image/frame, so it is a limitation of the format. You cannot do anything to fix that.

There's an option, though I don't believe it will make small files.
