Sumeet please see your family physician who will be able to guide you in this. This is not something which can be explained or prescribed by a few posts here.

I do not mean any disrespect to Doctors on our forum, just meaning this issue is too complex for a solution here.

Generally you could do a few basic blood tests like CBC, B12 and D3 so you have the reports when you see a Doctor.
CBC - will show whether you have an infection and your haemoglobin level.
B12 and D3 - low levels of this can cause tiredness, low energy levels and body/bone pain.

All the best and hope you feel better soonest.

Take care.

Yes they use many European designs made here or elsewhere which are decent on a budget. Would suggest Alcon/J&J if budget permits.

Thank you for your responses. I am facing this issue which crept up in 2021 (fatigue/tiredness). The sore throat issue is from childhood and fried food do sometimes I do have is best avoided for me. I have to gargle with Betadine or have Lozenges and if it gets worse anti-biotics which are unfortunately part of my life now.

I have done tests like lipid, CFC etc before and doctors have not found anything abnormal. I am getting a free annual checkup sponsored from my organization and thought it would be an opportunity to do some add-on test while I am at it to diagnose the issue.

I cannot tolerate milk in large quantities though I can manage little of it. By Dahi I meant greek Yogurt but dahi causes same issue ie sore throat related even if I keep it outside the fridge and have it later. My doc has advised to have a spoon or so and try increasing it a little bit over a period.

I wonder if long Covid could be a suspicion, if any abnormality started in 2020-2021 🤔. I remember many were asymptomatic that time but later developed long covid symptoms like some of yours.

I suffered sore throat for a long time and the root cause turned out to be intolerance to Chyawanprash all along. From childhood I was brainwashed that Ayurveda is harmless or never give side effects. Total B.S. Nothing is perfect.
See if you have any hidden intolerance too. I don't think curd or fried food is root cause for you. Experiment with Sauerkraut, if that also gives problem than it will prove my hypothesis.

I have gut issues with have to rely on probiotic tablets etc at times. Have trouble with dahi for eg which provides stomach relief but causes sore throat which is again a old problem for me. I have to avoid oily and fried food which automatically limits my choices in office canteen to a few items. Also I had cholesterol issue which is now in control. Not able to understand what causes tiredness and fatigue for me. Gut health?

Thanks.
Did you rule out hypothyroidism? The sore throat could be due to acid reflux.

PS: not a doc.

Dear Sumeet,

You need to see a physician. Also it would not harm you if you go there with thyroid hormones test, Blood Sugar fasting and latest CBC.

Best regards

Re: Calling doctors/dentists/specialists on Team-BHP to provide free consultations

I finally have a chance to make use of this thread for myself.

Since the last two years, the nails on both my index fingers have been growing weirdly. There is an extra 1-2 mm of the flesh beneath the nails growing attached to the free edge of the nail. It is slightly sensitive but not overly so.
The nail itself is a bit flattened on top and the free edge curves downwards a bit. As a result of this I can no longer cut my nails as close as I would like - I don't cut them too short anyways -
The nails are also thicker and retain sharp edges after cutting. They aren't brittle or splitting in any major way.
Due to this I need to spend a LOT more time filing and buffing my nails a couple of times a week to have a rounded edge otherwise it can and does give my minor scratches if the nails come in contact with my skin.
I should also like to mention that it seems to be spreading in some way. All my fingernails have slight vertical ridges on them, the middle fingernails are starting to get a bit flattened on top and on my big toes i have that slight undernail flesh protrusion.

I have visited 3 dermatologists. All 3 of them have said that it's "fine" and just suggest moisturizers and nail nourishing treatments. They all put it down to a lingering side effect of me having cancer and receiving chemotherapy in 2020, although I still wonder why this started happening 3 years later. They say that it's due to keratin production being affected and stress on the liver.
It seems plausible enough, although like I said I wonder about the delay and also the lack of effective treatment and solutions.
While my nails appear normal, the loss off tactility due to having a longer nail and slight increase in sensitivity is affecting my ability to type and work properly to some degree plus there's the added maintenance required with additional sanding and buffing that is required.

Re: Calling doctors/dentists/specialists on Team-BHP to provide free consultations

I just landed in Assam(kaziranga) on the 20th April for my summer vacations. From 22nd y'day morning I am having severe diarrhoea with sour belching and some stomach noise. Had 2 loperamide y'day morning and was having some ORS while I drove to shillong.. While I checked for loperamide in nearby pharmacies they gave me norflox tz. Is it safe to consume it since it is an antibiotic.

TIA

Not a doctor, but I would include probiotics too, either capsules/powder (I know few brands if you want) or atleast fresh curd/buttermilk after every bland meals. Take care!

While you might take prescribed meds for relief, please avoid self-medicating with antibiotics.

You're better off taking probiotics. Providac is a probiotic I've been prescribed in the past. Comes as a pack of 14 capsules, 7-day course. Check with your doctor before taking anything, of course.

I took the pictures but forgot to attach them !

Not the greatest pics but the best I could do to capture the characteristics I wanted to highlight.

Pic 1 : the vertical ridges
Pic 2 : the flattened top of index finger
Pic 3 : the extra overgrown skin underneath the index finger nail

Sorry about the delay in getting back. Appasamy is a made in india product before Atmanirbhar India was a thing. They have good(for an Indian product) reputation among doctors, in an industry that is otherwise dominated with imports or white label manufacturing.

Re: Calling doctors/dentists/specialists on Team-BHP to provide free consultations

Due to unresolved gut inflammation & malabsorption, my physician/gastro prescribed vitamin B and D injections, which helped replenishing the levels. But for vitamin A they only knew Cod liver oil capsules. I tried Seven Seas & Seacod brands but didn't help. Ophthalmologist gave multivitamin syrup but oral supplements rarely help in my case.

Today I came across Vitamin A softgel capsules which I understand might help because high-dose oral supplements can sometimes overcome absorption issues. But I'm not sure what's the best regimen in my case and I don't want to self-medicate as high doses without expert advise could be risky.
My last tested serum retinol was 0.2 mg/L with biological reference levels at 0.3-0.6 mg/L.

So if there's any doctor here who knows specifically about Vitamin A supplement regimen ?
