Is it wise to join MazdaUSA if there is an offer?

Guys,
This is not something concrete but a friend of mine has been asked if he would like to work with MazdaUSA in a managerial post.
In a time when everyone's moving out of the US, what advice should i offer him?
Kindly advice.
Thanks.

Mazda as a company is doing fine. But remember that it is a part of the Ford umbrella which is not very stable at the moment.

Relocation is not a risk but stability needs to be valuated.
If your friend is at the early stage of life
Single, ready to mingle kinds or Married with no kids....its worth the risk...

As the economy cant get any lower than this..if he rides the wave..he would emerge stronger.
With the credit crunch, banks will not be offering loans or credit cards easily.
Without a strong backing he might find it difficult.

Is he a gearhead? Has he ever worked with a car company? Is the money decent / good? If the answers are yes - no - yes, I say go ahead. The experience will be satisfying...especially in these challenging times.

just wait till the final offer IN WRITING arrives. i hear many stories these days about offer letters being given and not honoured later. so be sure what you get is a proper work contract and then take a decision
