Rename the thread, please!

First of all, please rename the thread. Until about a few years back I used to call men's fragrances "Perfumes" and had a heated debate with my British customers only to realise i was gradually giving them inches away. Men's fragrances are called EDTs and not perfumes. Female fragrances are called Perfumes. So please include EDTs in the thread title. Though not sure what should we call unisex fragrances like CK One which i used for a bit of time until i stopped!
My favourites:
  1. CK Be - all time for office Mon to Thurs
  2. Ralph Lauren Polo Green (but sparingly, mostly in long drives to wilderness)
  3. Ralph Lauren Polo Blue - for the fresh rejuvenated airy feel
  4. Guess - my current weekend favourite
  5. Too sexy - almost end of bottle. for that mild feeling
  6. Dunhill blue - have fond memories of it but i haven't seen it (at least in the same bottling) ever since. sparks romance
  7. Polo black - one of the few EDTs i disliked
  8. CK One - would not do it again unless i change my "preferences"

Btw - OT, but in indulgences (or fetish in more crude terminology) do we have people with weak knees for sunglasses and bags??

Letting you on a secret. There is a fragrance shop run by an Indian just outside the Aldgate East tube station when you exit out towards petticoat lane (have forgotten the exact exit name) next to the burger king outlet. They sell the cheapest fragrances I have found in London. Some of them look dodgy as to the way they have been procured and sold While at it, a few steps down towards Bricklane / whitechapel on the same side there is a small electronics dealer called Fairdeal with TDK written large. Again run by an Indian family, you get amazing deals for rechargeable batteries & chargers, memory cards and other blank media etc. Sorry to go slightly overboard

You're right. Added Cologne to title.

In general,
Perfume -> Women
Cologne -> Men

But entirely a personal preference!

You bet, here is one!

EDT's or Colognes is ok, but why not also add Phermones too!

Armand Basi in Blue by Armand Basi (very good cologne, can't find another bottle in stores)
Higher by Christian Dior

Own:

True Star by Tommy Hilfiger
Davidoff Goodlife
Armani Black
Armani White
Dunhill Desire Blue and Red
Armani Mania
Chrome by Loris Azzaro
Dune by Christian Dior
Carolina Herrera 212 On Ice
360 RED by Perry Ellis (Better than the Blue any day)
Joop! by Joop!
Ralph Lauren Romance
CK One
CK Be
Ralph Lauren Polo Sport
Davidoff Cool Water

I just brought the Ferrari Red Bottle EDT / Perfume / Cologne whatever

A strange thing happened, It all vanished in 3 months. I did not use it much, but whenever I took the bottle out of the Box, I could see it 5% less. And then one day it just emptied. A white Foam thing gathered around the cap of the bottle.

I think maybe this perfume was bad. Never seen anything like this before. the smell was great, no other problem. From that day I swore never to buy Ferrari.

Some of my other fragrances I have last me 2-3 years at times if used properly.

Another question while in this thread - Does a Fragrance have an expiry date ? If yes, then what ?

Theirry Muglers - B Men & Issey Miyaki
Guys - what about aftershaves - have heard they are a bit more stronger / intense compared to EDT's and last longer.

Know a few guys who use aftershaves as EDT's !!

Your bottle had a hairline crack around the cap. Probably happened during transport - bad luck!

No. Alcohol is a preservative and does not expire.

Ferraris are pretty fast, aren't they? I think in your case the bottle cap was probably broken or there was some other leaks. Since most of the fragrances are spirit-based they will evaporate very easily.

Regarding expiry date, I dont think most of them have it officially, except that they may lose some of its freshness over time and of course quantity if the bottle is already open. The ones you buy from discount stores are probably pretty old stock and its advisable not to keep it longer than a few months or so.
