Looks like car is Renault Lodgy, so cannot blame snake for taking shelter inside.

Looks like a Common Vine Snake, mildly venomous, bites can cause reactions and swelling in humans, but essentially harmless to us.

Clearly not able to identify the hood of snake but with characteristics it looks like Bamboo Pit Viper. If it is Bamboo Pit Viper then it is highly posiounous.
Some other angle, it look like Green vine snake as welll, which is mildly poisoinous.
If you have large photo could you please post again?

That is indeed scary. Really sent shivers down my spine. Would the anti rodent spray keep these creatures away? My friend faced an issue with a snake near his AC vents. The mechanic was calm enough to pull it out. I don't think we are lucky all the while.

It is a green vine snake. Harmless and non venomous.
Viper will have fat body and much shorter in length.
I occasionally see them around in my garden. Comes to eat the small insects.
Let them live:)
My daughter spotted this snake.
Not able to identify it , more need to know if it is venomous or not ?
Is it a Diadophis ?
Encountered one more today inside a switchbox.
Can anyone confirm the same ?
Based on my search it looks like a Boiga trigonata which is mildly venomous.

This is Indian gamma snake or Common Cat snake. These have short and rear set fangs. So basically, they have to chew into their victim to deliver venom. As rightly posted, they are mildly venomous and usually harmless to humans.
I saw this specimen swimming in Begur Lake, Bangalore. What type is this; from what I saw online, it seemed to be checkered keelback or a rat snake.

Rat snake most probably. Checkered Keelback has two eyeliners - lines going down from the eye

That can't be confused with rock python. The pattern is too clearly russel's viper and even the aspect ratio. Python will be much thicker at that length.
