A beautiful rat snake, one of the most beautiful specimen to grace our planet
What about merging this thread with the rat-damage thread? ;)
Whilst I haven't had any recent damage to my car, I could still do with a rat snake or two in my garden!
Can anyone please confirm what snake is this ?.
That looks rat snake to me. I ran over a giant one couple of days back (I was on my bicycle) and it was scary few seconds for both of us. Luckily no major injury.
This one was found inside the lift of our apartment at Chennai. What snake is it ?

Oooh, nice one, Buff Striped Keelback, I guess?
We got this visitor in my apartment last week.
Looks so good in its prime pose. It was caught and sent away to forest. :)

The beautiful small guy is the deadliest snake in India, the Russel's viper. Hope you didn't get too close. Some mistake it for a small python and almost lose their life on that mistake.

wow , thanks for the response. I had my doubts once i saw its triangular face and the scale patterns.
This guy was on the path very frequently used by tourists.
I was carrying a 55-200 lens and the pictures were taken from a distance with full camera zoom.
Regards
Diesel
Saw this baby snake in the temple today, it was very aggresive. Suspect its a baby krait, not really sure, any ideas. Anyway its looks dangerous, even though is a small one.
