Need to travel by bus from Madras to Bangalore

I'm trying to book online on redbus.in and Sharma transports is not available. There is this Shama Sardar travels. Any idea how it is?

What is recommended? I prefer a Volve AC sleeper. Volvo AC is much preferred. LAst time I travelled from Bangalore to MAdras by bus, it was horrible. It was SRS travels and they bloody switched off the AC half the time. In the middle of the night, I had to go and tell the driver to switch it on. The seats had bugs and I had rashed on my body by the next morning.

What is a good option?

Date of travel is 29th march. Need to leave in the night so I reach BLR early next morning.

Are they good? I mean I hope they will not switch off the AC midway through the journey.

ABT is good and on time. KPN also has sleeper buses. Am not sure about them switching off the A/C at nights though. But they do the distance in 5-6 hours. Take the last bus if you want to land in Chennai in the early morning.

A really good option is a certain silver truck with new geolanders driven by a decent chappie who regularly travels on your desired route.

You have only one option if you want the Volvo A/C Sleeper which is the Sharma, dont ever try the likes of Shama Sardar etc. If you are insistent on an AC Sleeper I would suggest you take up the KPN one and book the ones on the left hand side which are single berths. If regular seating in A/C buses is fine with you I would suggest you book in one of the KSRTC Airavath's nothing to beat them or ABT Travels which are not Volvo but there is no one to beat them in terms of service even though they use the ALL 12M coaches.

@Lukeskywalker - We call the decent chappie TTC driver in our circles.

@ Nikhil - Why dont you try booking in Sharma transports website ::Sharma Transports:: I sTill see berths available for 29th March. -

Edit Oh sorry I thought you wanted to leave from Bangalore on 29th its the other way then you are in serious trouble mate, I doubt you would get options available in any decent buses. The Ugadi Weekend is going to make matters worse for you. If you are fine I would suggest you take one of the afternoon buses and come back to Bangalore late evening peacefully

EDIT: Just now checked for 28th sleeper class from bangalore to chennai, berths are available!

Nikhil,

Use KPN service. They do not switch off the A/c. Used their service, every weekend for 4 months, between Bangalore to Chennai and back.

Also, try out ABT, their buses are having very good reviews here.
