"Gasoline" gas in the car? What kind of gas is this? What gassing!!!

It is common knowledge that all plastics contain some volatile compounds which are released when they are substantially heated (such as in a microwave), which is why it is not advisable to heat up food packed in plastic wraps in the microwave. But car plastics releasing "gasoline"? And in any case, the article does not name any references or authors, and is factually incorrect in that 15 degrees F is certainly not equal to either 6 degrees or 60 degrees C. And 60*C might apply to ambient temperatures in Abu Dhabi, but not India in most cases.

And as to gasoline fumes (petrol fumes) accumulating inside the cabin when parked under the hot sun, cars today are designed to not let that happen, and fumes are vented to the atmosphere directly.

Surely they could have chosen a better term for this gas than 'gasoline' ?

Temperatures inside a car can get pretty high, parked in the sun for a few hours, the dashboard in my car measured 50 deg C !?! Wish they'd got their facts straight though, 15 deg F is ~ -9.4 deg C...

LOL... Abu Dhabi recycles the gasoline gas from inside its cars, cools and liquefies it, and sells it to the world. Profound, indeed!!!

Very interesting and profound! No wonder the gulf countries supply "gasoline" to the USA to ensure that their country is polluted with a dangerous gas "gasoline".

There is a simple test that can be performed at home, with slight care.

Hold a lighted match near the orifice and let out a big one. If the match is extinguished, you have reason to worry and must consult your doctor.

If the emitted gas bursts into a blue-green flame, you're fine, LOL, you've got rid of the gasoline!

Funny about the orifice gas anup.

My random wonderings.

I wonder if flatulence can be termed as asoline gas instead of gasoline gas.
(I want to put a double S but that will set a bad example and I'll get warned.)

But let us discuss this further.

What if this was about asoline? Coming from the seat covers? it is poisonous, but doesn't kill you. Literally.

I wonder, when does it get to 6 degrees Celcius in Abu Dhabi. That should be a nice time to drive.

I wonder how it would cause abortion. Most drivers in Abu Dhabi are male.
