What a deal that guy got! But she did the right thing and the Fiat now will be taken care of well and she won't have to worry about spares

Karl will be heartbroken that he didnt get there first.

Still, you never know - he might just be that "vintage collector"....

So the spares issue is a tradition with FIAT?

Looks like the lady was not internet savvy and didn't have the email address of one Mr. M K.

i liked her statement about waiting for her turn to get the car.seems she is calm and patient in the midst of the whole nano frenzy around.
reminds me of the grand old man who got a life time prepaid mobile connection when he was 99!!!
hoping for a long life....!!

I admire clear headed 80+ men and women. Am sure they must be exercising their grey cells regularly.

Interestingly the charming Ms Vyarawalla never used her name when publishing. She went by the psuedonym Dalda 13, derived from her birth in 1913, her marriage at thirteen, and the license plate on her Fiat which was DLD 13.

Amazing how the lady held on to the 55 year old Fiat all these days.
I gather it was sentimental as most of the old fiats are to their owners - Simply unseparable.

I think it is a fitting end to this thread that the car was purchased by our very own karlosdeville.

there is another thread on the same by karlos, and the car finally does go to Karl at last. What a sweet end to the story isnt it. Mods, time to merge both the threads.
