The Other Guys

Another of those police-buddy movie. Its an ok movie. One time watch. The chemistry is very good between farell and wahlberg. Few laughs here and there. Script is ok. Was expecting plenty of action but got more of it at the end.

3.5/5

Caught up with these two films

"Shutter Island" starring Leonardio Caprio

Thanks for suggesting this movie guys. It was a fanstastic experience and entire movie was quite gripping and tense to say the least.

More importantly it was much simpler than the complex Inception and the final twist in the end is again a huge surprise. Second time again its happening to me.

I was taken aback by 'Adoption" twist and here i go again. I am loving it!

I too feel it was an awesome movie with some mind-blowing cinematography filmed mostly in MA ( One of my favorite state) and some of those rock scenes reminded me of "Raavan":p

Must watch

"Rataouille" Pixar movie from makers of Cars and Incredibles

Probably, some of you may know or follow one of the best food threads on this forum :-

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...underabad.html

As foodie, who just loves even the thought of food, this movie was an experience with some fantastic animations true to pixar standars almost real-life like and the story line was also pretty amusing with some great eye-openers of how things work in a fine dining kitchen.

Must watch for foodies and animation lovers.

4/5

P.S: Next in line is " Misery" any reviews? It stars James Caan and i think is based on my favorite author ( Stephen King) book.

+1, I read the book before I saw the movie and have to say that in this case the movie does justice to the book. The story is simple enough but it manages to give you the shivers :)

Next Day AirTwo inept criminals are mistakenly delivered a package of cocaine and think they've hit the jackpot, triggering a series of events that changes ten people's lives forever.
Next Day Air (2009)

A timepass movie.

3/5

Brooklyn's Finest
Three unconnected Brooklyn cops wind up at the same deadly location after enduring vastly different career paths.
Brooklyn's Finest (2009)

Its an ok movie.
After L.A.Confidential i didnt like this much.

3/5

The Experiment
26 men are chosen to participate in the roles of guards and prisoners in a psychological study that ultimately spirals out of control.
The Experiment (2010/I)

Good timepass.

Any of you guys into animated movies?
Contrary to popular belief - a section of animated movies are made keeping in mind the adult viewers.
I watched a few of them this year and must say they are excellent.
They are:

Dante's Inferno
Afro Samurai: Resurrection
Batman: under the red hood

I shall post more as I have a large collection of them (courtesy one of my friends).

Yes! One of the best animated movies that I have ever seen is "Spirited Away". It's a very creative and imaginative film. Very different from the regurgitated Hollywood scripts where every single movie is designed to just make people go "awww so sweet" and make the cash registers go "kachinng". Even Spirited Away has a couple of "aww" movements but that's not the sole purpose of the film. It's almost like a supernatural adventure thriller! If you like good cinema watch Spirited Away!

Iron Man 2

Finally managed to catch Iron Man 2 on dvd as i missed watching it in theaters.

I liked the movie. I would say it is worthy sequel to the Iron Man and loved every bit of it. While Iron Man was better, this one was no less.

Rourke was the show stopper for me. What a way to introduce Whiplash - At the Monaco Grand Prix. Scarlet Johansson is stunning. Her action scene is really great. Loved the flirting shown between RBJ and Scarlet. Paltrow is competent as always. Samuel L Jackson is a surprise for me. I didn't knew he was there till he appeared.

Fantastic cast, Gripping Action, Great Acting, Drool worthy cars. Made my evening.

I was also surprised by the end. Did somebody stayed after the credits scene? Its gonna another sequel soon from the way it ended.

A worthy watch.

Next up: RobinHood

So a new movie Thor is going to come? And not the 3rd part? Please enlighten.

I am also eager to see MACHETE. It seems another Action/Thriller.

Watched 'The Bank Job' yesterday. I thought the screen play connecting all the characters / scenes were good and kept me engaged till the end.

Thor is another Marvel character - here is info on the movie - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thor_(film)

As for machete - did you see the trailer for that in 'Grindhouse'?
'Machete' was one of the spoof trailers that Robert Rodriguez made, and liked it so much, he made a full blown film out of it!
