Those are uninhabitable rocks. So no they dont cost that much. But I guess you can buy an island in the twilight zone between Hawaii and New Zealand for the prices here.

every time i go past that project i get scared, it is super huge and i am not sure of the impact it will have on the neighbourhood, it will be a million times more congested than Forum neighbourhood. so i am never convinced about the purchase we made - but unfortunately there is no alternative in our cities. if you want a quiet neighbourhood such hostel/campus projects are the only option.

compensation for late completion. hmmm.. they mentioned it in the contract. i haven't followed it up, maybe i should ping them on of these days. however i don't think the compensation should be such a big factor in your decision making. it is pittance compared to the money involved and they do give it i think (i heard they paid compensation in their other projects like millennium, etc.)

there is a resonably active google-group http://groups.google.com/group/BGHOA (it used be open, but now restricted to members) maintained by few owners.

what price are they asking these days?
5k/Sq ft in 2006?! Its come down now. In the range of 4500/Sq Ft. This market is now a buyer's market. Yeah, I contacted the association - though they said only owners could register, they invited me to speak to them about any concerns I might have.

sudheesh, that is an good pics. Man ,that's hugeeee and in heart of city. As other members pointed out, its gonna be too crowded when completed.

On the other hand, nice to see man made lakes, gardens etc are all planed. Some effort from humans to keep this earth green for some more days ...
Fantastic pictures from Sudheesh. I picked his pictures up from another forum where he is active as well.

The property looks good, but from what i've seen, its been in the making since last 6 yrs.

Anyway's best of luck for your new abode.
Thats one of my concerns. The place does not look close to completion even for the end of this year. And Brigade is promising delivery by June. How the hell are people supposed to live there with truckloads of construction work still going on?

To a certain extent, but that kind of devaluation is unheard of.

Actually ever since RBI made it mandatory for all banks to offer their ATM's across the board for all card holders, I found a loop hole to withdraw from another bank's atm and ensure it does not reflect in my bank account! Clever na?

My jeep is up for a heart transplant and major over haul soon. I am really also contemplating a gyspy + all the mods you have done. Very jeep like its become. So if I get a gypsy before the end of this year, I will sell the Jeep. If not, I will get my jeep up and blasting.

true, prices have been affected by the current economic scenario but there is no uniform rate. it really depends on which block/floor/side that price is applicable.

I live very near to this Brigade project and its actually at the edge of Rajajinagar and Yeshwanthpur. 6 months back price of a 3 bedroom apartment was upwards of 90L.. I am not sure how much it is now. I am really worreid when people move in to this project and all office spaces are taken up what would happen to the serenity of this neighbourhood...The road in front of this complex (Dr.Rajkumar Road) is already jam packed during peak hours ..I can only dread what would the scenario one year down the line..

Can anyone shed light on the status of completion of this project?

When is North Star going to be ready and any idea, which companies have entered into Lease here already?

Re: Brigade Gateway - Malleswaram, Bangalore

Been to Sheraton Hotel few months back for a conference and to Orion mall on Saturday during its opening ceremony. The whole project looks excellent now.

Just curious to find North Star building mentioned in this project. Is it the same WTC?
(landed in this old t-bhp thread while googling for an image

Re: Brigade Gateway - Malleswaram, Bangalore

Yes, it is the same building called World Trade Centre and it is currently also the tallest building in Bangalore. However, when I met some Brigade officials last fortnight, they said offices in that building were now occupied till the 12th floor only, the rest were still available for sale / rent.

Re: Brigade Gateway - Malleswaram, Bangalore

I had been to Gemini/F wing on Saturday to see my friend there, missed the orion mall opening ceremony by a few hours, saw some videos on that later, the project looks awesome, the lake in front of the mall/WTC is really nice since we spent some time walking/strolling around that place late in the night, some good lighting projects they have spent on it seems.

Re: Brigade Gateway - Malleswaram, Bangalore

The lake and the stroll area behind the mall are very welcome addition. The concept is public friendly with the aim of attracting casual public to the mall and provide a relaxing atmosphere. But they definitely need to keep smoking off limits here, though havent seen much smoking here.

But traffic is going to be mega problem once the mall opens fully with the Big Bazaar also nearby.
