The Airtel Thread
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifting-gears/57753-airtel-thread.html)
I'am using Airtel Mobile Network (Bharti Cellular) for my mobile. From past 4~5 days the network is giving lot of problems. The calls are getting dropped all of a sudden, we cannot hear what the other guys at the other end is speaking. I spoke to their customer care and they are promptly informing that there is some network jam. But this jam cannot go on and on. In my business operations, we cannot do without cell phones. I have tried using landlines, every time, I have to give the number to our operator and she will dial and connect to that number. This is taking too ling a time and everytime. :Frustrati
Do you guys are experiencing the same problem. If yes, what is the airtel customer care people informing and when will be network by up and will run normally?
Airtel Karnataka seems to adhere to extremely strict SLAs - every customer faces at least one call drop a day. This has been happening for a couple of months now.

I thought we had got used to this by now !

Srinivas, Jokes apart, Airtel network has been bad for quite some time. Overloaded capacity is the reason. Calls disconnect, dont connect, bad voice quality .. it's all there. On the house .. rather, network.
Nope. It seems quite good and haven't faced any issues.
Touch-wood, not having any issues at all.
Yep. Even I am facing lot of call drops and friends/family are complaining that my number is kind of hard to connect to.
Regards,
So, anybody complained to Airtel and what is there response? I'am facing this problem severely from past 4~5 days.
Usual / standard / expected responses.
I did experience this problem last mont, registered a complaint after few days got a messayingstating it has been rectified. but stil sometimes it happens.
Airtel's mobile service is getting worse with time, there's another thread about poor Airtel services.
Apart from signal down situations, their customer care service is pathetic & billing is a big time suspect.
Facing the same problem, no, not bothered to complain as I know I will get a standard reply from them, bearing with it as of the moment and waiting for number portability to come in soon !
I have been facing all these issues for a long time now. I had tried lodging complaints on the website and also through 121. I have lots of SR numbers, but then no one has ever bothered to reply or call back. I tried checking the status of the complaint numbers on the website and realise that those SR numbers dont exist in their database at all. Airtel quality has gone from bad to worse. I was very impressed with Airtel in chennai and I thought Airtel quality would be the same in whole of India. I seem to be terribly wrong.
Airtel Chennai is in a different league - except for the one occasion when their servers were down (2005, I think & made the front page news), I have never faced downtime or any issues that I face with Airtel Karnataka.
These days during one conversation with my Bangalore associates it takes 3 call drops sometimes 4 to five call drops if the party in Bangalore is driving or in a vehicle.
Sick, even the bangaloreans are complaining about airtels call drops.
If you complain, in good numbers, they eventually take heed and rectify.
Heheh... you are lucky to have that problem only recently. Here in Poona, Airtel is at its worst... call drops are perfectly normal, voice clarity is abysmal most of the times.
Customer service? I'll just not even get started...
