Not necessarily,you have very high performance cars that are quiet during city jaunts (a la corvette with the butterfly valve in the exhaust)

And there are aftermarket exhausts which have a butterfly to vary exhaust notes between quieter than stock - very very loud .

I would go for ICE cuz of the following:

1. Speed limits and traffic within city.
2. The tuner (not the ICE tuners) scene specially in NORTH is not good.
3. When you go with performance mods, for those 10 secs or less :you are FREE. But when it comes to ICE you are FREE all the time
4. Last but not the least ICE will keep u thanda thanda cool cool!

Its not about ear blasting music!Its all about preference,you can have a system for only sound quality that need not be very loud or loud at all.

but i like exterior mods also like good kit,alloys you should have added this too
the thread title should have been like this ice v/s performance v/s exterior mods.

EDIT- A screaming motor and the sound of whizzin turbos is the muzik to my ears, who needs a rock number when you can really rock the street with the power you have.

And I have said it before in some other thread and shall say it again, ICE for me is the cute chick on the passenger seat, that and a fast car, what more can one really ask for?

For me, ICE is priority, no doubt about it.

I'll be happy with the basic performance mods like better wheels + tyres, CAI & FFE. As long I can overtake other cars/trucks on a highway reasonably well, and be reasonably quick off the green light, I'm quite happy.

I'm not into visual enhancement: if the visual mod provides better performance/comfort also (like alloys + tyres or better interiors), then fine.

Yes 0-100 in 5 secs and then racer boys run out of gas or are getting ticketed cuz of their loud exhaust and turbo whistles

And if you do 0-100 in 5 seconds you will have to break every 6 seconds

not really an ICE person so my views would be definetly biased. I would rather spend money on performance which is what i think is a car's forte rather than hear fantastic music in it. i can always listen to GREAT music at home or elsewhere ( why in the car ? ) - for normal "soothing purposes in traffic " type of requirement, i think any stock system would be good enough

the music of performance in my car is more gratifying than the performance of music

Does not matter, as long as I do 0-100 in 5 seconds, i wont mind the tickets.
