There is some sort of "technical error" that worked in my favour and i got a few thousand points more last year which i HAPPILY redeemed for shoppers stop vouchers and bought a few things on sale.
Even now an "error" prevents automatic transfer to i-Mint and i redeemed a few more for Lifestyle vouchers. Very handy in these times as there are sales going around! For once, ICICI credit card rocks!
Last week, I redeemed online 4000 points of my Axis Bank debit card for 4 x Rs 500 vouchers of Lifestyle and got them delivered by courier within two days.

That's really nice. They seem to offer Rs.1 for 2 points. That's a good deal:thumbs up
I normally redeem Stanchart car points for Big Bazaar vouchers. Helps for a month's groceries. Each BB voucher of 500/- cost 990 points. On an avg for 11 months purchase through CC, I accumulate points sufficient for one month's supply of grocery.
Just redeemed my HDFC credit card points for 25k worth of Fab India Coupons.

I just redeemed 4000 Citibank reward points for
3000 Rs - Adidas coupons
1000 Rs- body shop coupons
I use the Citibank IndianOil Credit Card for all the shopping purpose. THe points earned can be redeemed against the fuel. (1 point = 1 Re of fuel)
Manage to get 2-3 tank full from the points earned on the card in one year :)

Don't exchange them for coupons, you will not get one rupee per point. Just buy whatever you want, and adjust the points against the payment when it becomes due. That is what I do.

I got a rupee for every point. I redeemed 4000 points an in turn I got 4000 rs worth of gift coupons. In fact I did not have the option of paying back the payment with that points
^^OK. Even so, my method gives you an infinite choice of products, from any shop.
I use my Citibank credit card reward points for Tata Sky recharge voucher. 500 points get you a recharge voucher of Rs 500. :)

How do we pay using the credit points? I asked a cashier in Pothys to charge my purchase against the reward points. He nodded his head but charged it like a new purchase without redeeming the points. When asked about it he kept saying that I would get points added automatically for the purchase :Frustrati.

lol:Unlike points in a Shopping Card, Credit Card points are not redeemable directly at the time of purchase. You have to go for the coupons/vouchers from the card agency. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Last week filled Petrol for Rs 1000 and payed with Citibank points (Indian oil card)

I too have HDFC Bank World Card and never redeemed my points. Can you highlight how many points you swapped for 25K worth of Fab India coupons?
