The UNofficial Quiz thread

How about a quiz thread?

It follows the same sequence as the Guess the Car thread.

Questions numbered Axx- upto 1000 then B so on.

Please remember, that If you want to post a question of yours, then make sure the previous question has been answered and its answer verified and confirmed. Only then post your question.

Please make sure the questions arent way too difficult such that no one will know them.

OK now the first question, an easy one to start with:

1. What is the full form of TVR?

Actually, they are independent TVR specialist and not the company per se.

TVR is just TreVoR. Stratos is an encyclopedia, or just very good with Google.

A4: ( Very easy one, and Stratos, You are not allowed to answer this!!)
This car was fastest in the world for a very short time after it was launched before the Mclaren F1 came along. It was a complete sales dud and its values depreciated badly. What car am I talking about?

islero,

There is really no point to having a quiz like this where people are free to google and then answer. It doesn't test members knowledge, just their googling skills.

But, seriously, it's not that bad, the more you Google, the more pages are searched, the more you stumble upon something you haven't read already.

I would have never bothered to read up on who designed the SLK otherwise, but, now that I know, makes for good pub ammo I guess.

Btw, SLs cannot be SLKs because SLKs are compact (smaller) versions of SLs.
