Having just come here after reading the Yeti's Guide to Posting in Proper English, I have a doubt: is it "happy belated birthday" or "belated happy birthday"? Since it's the greeting that's late and not the day itself, I think the latter sounds better.

PS: I thought the gift was a roast turkey wrapped in clingfilm!
