How to type Regional script in Photoshop?

Was wondering if anyone could tell me how i can get regional languages (especially Kannada n Hindi) in Photoshop?

Do i need to use an additional software and then transfer it to PS?

As far as I know, photoshop should just pick up the script if you have it in the "Fonts" folder within the Control Panel. I have always added fonts to the folder and PS has picked them up. Try it, it should work.

I have kannada script. But how do i type kannada words on an english keyboard?

Is there any font which will let me type kannada in english while it automatically converts to kannada script? Like the kannada option in gmail.

The font that i have right now doesn't work that way. For EG : If i type "namma bengaluru", it shows something meaningless in kannada script.

Try copy pasting from here : Google Kannada On-Screen Keyboard

Or download some sort of "on screen keyboard" that will make typing with the mouse possible in those fonts.

Try typing in Hindi with this font: Free Downloads these are "Phonetic" fonts, I.e. To type Bhaarat in Hindi just type that in English.

I think there are Kannada "Phonetic" fonts as well.
