Hi Everyone
With this first post of mine ,I would like to put across some pictures of cars which I built on my own. All of them are made from paper and are based on scales. Even though they are not perfect as professional models ,but I hope you all can enjoy these. Based on your feedback I will be posting individual snaps providing details.
Thanks
Amit
Thanks a lot.
I think it would be good to show these models from the starting phases.
My first project includes Porsche Carrera-GT, which I made in white paper and that too in office lol:. These are available in Internet in PDF format. Just get it printed ,cut and then paste them together giving shape. This is a 1:24 scale model.
Creating such models started long back as a kid ,when I used to create Swaraj Mazda and DCM Toyota models from waste Carton Boxes.I even used to play with those in our garden by creating roads and loading them with some items also. Those models included lights using Torch bulbs with batteries. Once my parents saw torch bulbs were not there in place ,then they asked me and I showed them the place where they were .Then they got some new ones and didn't disturbed my ones. I feel like going into my those days .
Thanks
After the first shoddy model, I got momentum to make some more of them .Even the same model is still lying in my office drawer and gives me feel good factor when I see the same. I started working on Jeep Wrangler which took one full day and is considered easy to do model. But this time I got it printed on Photo Paper and then started cutting and shaping it. It really motivated me to go ahead for more models.
Once started I just wanted to see it completed and this motivation kept me working even though I used to get tired but mind never gave up.
During this model I learned new techniques for shaping the parts and those same techniques helped me in creating better finished models. You all would be amazed to know that all those techniques are kind of our own Indian "Jugaad technology kind" such as using caps of deodorant cans ,etc.
Apologies for camera quality as all these are from mobile camera, but later one will be from Digital Camera.
Here, I am again with my next model, which is a Helicopter.
After finishing the Jeep Wrangler I wanted to do model which needs more work to be done on it. So , I got PDF file of APACHE Longbow Military Helicopter and I started working on it. This model is also on Photo Glossy paper and is 1:32 scale.
It has more than 80 separate components which need to be shaped and then fixed together. I really enjoyed watching it getting it shaped this took around 2 days to complete.
Moreover, having specialization in Aerodynamics ,apart from Automobiles ,aviation models are also on my list.
Thanks to you all for viewing my work.
After the first three models ,I got hold of one Hino brand tractor truck. It is 1:24 scale model. This took almost 2.5 weekends of mine to finish.I would put this from the starting phase and then assembling them together. This complete model contains more than 200 different parts.
More on truck to come in my next mail.
Hino Tractor Truck phase -2.
Hope you all enjoy this.
@aeroamit: Keep it coming. Nice job.
@Aeroamit : Nice job with the Hino.
Between, what do you use to make the wheels?
Thanks everyone for viewing.
@benbsb29:
Wheels are made from paper same as the whole model. It is similar to original
wheels in terms of depth and other features.
Some wheels from Jaguar XKR models.

Now comes the completed model.
This has got a nice trailer but, that needs lot of time to work on.
But will surely work on it in future.

@aeroamit -- Standing ovation from my side, i love building stuff. used to do the plastic revell kits, but what you have done with paper is just jaw dropping.
i will check the older post to understand more on this.
My last plastic model was of The U.S.S. Constitution Battleship (Old Ironsides) took over 4 years to build.
OT: i use paper to make scale models of Modular Kitchens :)
@aeroamit amazing work mate was waiting for end result...beautiful.
