we start our day with times of india. i also subsrcibed to DNA but it did not match the hype it created prior to its launch.

i havent cancelled its subscription but am thinking of doing so.

i also cant do without mid-day which i read as soon as i reach office.

i think times is the best.

Times Of India and The Hindu. TOI only for the comic strips that come in it (Calvin and Hobbes, to be more specific) Otherwise, both TOI and Express make a mockery of the language. It seems the proof readers at these papers are on permanent vacation. Hindu's english, though not perfect, is better than these two. Plus, the Hindu crossword is awesome. Some people might argue that its the news that matters and everything else is secondary. But somehow reading bad english in a newspaper spoils it for me.

Since i dont consider TOI much of a newspaper, i have voted for Others.

Cheers

Times of India - Calvin & Hobbes to start of with. Get the news from The Hindu. The best daily out here IMHO. TOI is more like a comic book. I prefer the professionalism and qulaity of articles in the Hindu.

I have 2 newspapers...Times of India and Sakal (Marathi daily)
so the poll needs to be multiple choice :-)

Well I dont buy these 2 coz they are the best but choices arent that great either.....Ind Express bord me (used to have that when I was in college) and although ToI has idiotic articles and play on words (catchy headlines) all the time., there isnt other options.

When I saw the title "how dyou start your mornings" I was wondering if you really wanted the graphic details...thankfully the topic is a bit different, though if you read TOI the stink is similar.

I voted for Others. The poll should have considered 'The Hindu' instead of leaving it to the 'Others' .

IMHO, The news coverage/analysis is good in Hindu. Less of the masala stuff... for masala theres TOI.

For me, its The Deccan Herald followed by the TOI in the morning and the Hindu ( for leisurely reading ) at night.

Deccan Herald is good for State news...

All said and done, No paper can beat the 'Ascent' supplement published by TOI on wednesdays. At least for the IT folks, this is the best on offer for understanding the state of the industry .

Times of India - tabloid news ... heh ... nice timepass newspaper before going to the office
Business Standard - find this better than Economic Times, which is another tabloid.
