I believe those are for taking kids. And walking. I'm not sure about riding with them along.

common man i never said that its funny i just found these pics interesting because i saw this type of thing for the first time so thought of sharing....

Umm, yea. I've seen a guy carry his baby though. And here, dogs enjoy 'sitting' between the owners legs.
