Across the country in a Ford Endeavour For creating awareness on Cancer

I am posting this with permission from Dr. Ritu.

I would like to draw attention of the forum to this:
http://punetech.com/breast-cancer-aw...s-please-help/

Quoting from the blog:
"Along with her then 14-year-old daughter Tista, she drove to the four tips of India in a Ford endeavour for 177 days!
Together she and Tista (her daughter) hold the Limca Book of Records for first mother-daughter duo expedition on cancer awareness across the country."

You can also visit Dr. Ritu's website: High>>>Ways beyond cancer :: Home (though it has not been updated for quite some time.)

I am sure TBHP can help in more than one way in this noble cause.

Please do not kill me for this, but I am really not a fan of all these Trips funded by noble cause money.

There plenty of other ways to generate awareness and use the funds generated directly for the cause, instead of using it for buying cars, Hotels, creating records and all that.

No intention to hurt anybody's feelings, purely my personal thoughts

I agree. driving across the country seems to be the favorite activity for spreading any kind of awareness, especially those peace keeping trips. I might turn my florida trip to some kind of awareness campaign too.

But we do not know the agenda of her trip, what we do know that she herself is a cancer survivor. And if on the way she is talking to people about prevention, diagnosis, treatment, recovery and so on, it will definitely will be fruitful. More so because she herself is a living example. She can create a support group which is a very good and needed morale booster for such a tedious treatment routine.
