What are we doing and where is this country headed ?

Chennai, the city of auto majors Ford, Hyundai, BMW, Ashok Leyland. Chennai, the city of software majors TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Xansa.
Man this city is going to the dogs as well just as Mumbai is(as far as taxing is concerned) Chucks! :Shockked: Sad but true! Live and Let live!

LOL... N_C, if u dont mind me asking... are u planning to contest elections in the near future? First the thread about toll tax, then the SC decision about the noise ban and now this!!! And i think i am missing a few other such similar threads started by you!

By the way, my colleagues here from Mumbai say that certain groups have already imposed such kind of rules in Mumbai. Is that true??

Besides, its nothing but hypocrisy thats happening in Chennai, thats plain to see.

Hmmm... you are motivating me to start another thread...

Cheers
Amitoj

umm,
what a pity , is not it?
But i guess it will pass away( I hope rather)

I wonder what drives these people? And what sort of political protection do they get - do such actions generate votes???

They most certainly do. Some people take themselves too seriously. Great culture indeed. Wonder if they have ever seen some of the action in Khajuraho ... will help them loosen up a bit.

lol: no amit - its just that these things get so much of media coverage and hype when there are other more important things happening around.

It disturbs the mind - as Steeroid says what kinda sick people are these ?

yeah - in Bbay , there are the so called moral police with whom i had the pleasure of interacting a couple of times - can u beat it - when i was with my girl happily munching Mcdonalds burgers in the car parked in a proper parking lot, this cop comes in and starts hinting at immoral activities taking place -. i mean it couldnt get more sh****er than that.

Wonder where the big brothers are when people are defeacating in public...or is that part of our great culture too? Spitting pan, literring the streets...what a great culture we have! I suppose the Cuum is pure like the Ganges for them...

PS: N_C was that one burger or two that you were eating in that car? Eating one would be highly immoral...

Did you order the special sauce with those fries ?

A line to the "Big Brothers" - GET A LIFE !!

Sad but true! It will pass when people get something of more interest.

NDTV.com:

Moral Police strike again. The catch being they haven't specified if hugging a person of the same sex is ok.

Quote:

"Hugging involves body contact. The mind can get puzzled. I don't think it should be allowed," said U B Jangam, Principal, SIES college.
Mr. Prinicipal, my mind is already very puzzled at your statement. And greatly saddened.

Yup, its ok to get squeezed/squished/compressed/pinched/---- in the crowded suburban trains, public transport buses, queues etc. The human mind will not be puzzled then.

Moses should have thought up of some more commandments.

Thou shalt not hug.
Thou shalt not hold hands.
Thou shalt not wear t-shirts
Thou shalt not wear jeans

Leave alone the article and the big brothers in chennai! Did anyone see the comments section?

Most of the people seem to favour the big brothers a lot. :D
