Hey buddy, Ganguly was dropped, he didn't perform in domestic circuit, but still he was brought back. See, he increased his highest score from 174 to 231.
Now Sehwag is brought back & his highest score is 309. If its fair for Ganguly and then its fair for Sehwag too.

Well ganguly actually performed better than sehwag and sehwag was given too many chances. He is like a horse which competes in a race and then sits for 10 races and is back again to run in the reverse direction

Actually like the horse in the MS OE ad - the horse runs fast and then suddenly stops - after a long time he suddenly starts running fast only to stop abruptly again.
Same is the case with Sehwag - fires , stops , stops , stops , stops , fir , stops, fires,

Nice job by Kumble, and its not often that you see Australia on the backfoot at the start of a series. Lets hope our batsmen dont let our bowlers down - the latter have done a great job of not allowing Australia their regular first innings big score.
The start to the innings made things look like usual .. Aussies headed for another BIG total but things changed pretty drastically for them . If only we could have wrapped up the last wicket before close of play would have been really good . Anyways , hope they can get the 10th pretty early tom and then the batsmen can stick it out and post a good score .

Yeah the last wicket...wonder when was the last time Aus batting first in Aus got bowled out on the first day, or whether they have got bowled out on the first day itself is a question...
Hayden had rated this century among his bests. Is that mean the pitch is difficult to bat on?
Australian 300+ score with a wicket in hand is not at all bad, but considering their status, its an fantastic achievement for us. Hope our batsmen's make our captain declare our innings :)
