Current score -India 177/4 (35.5/49 ov)
Agaian a good tactic by Dhoni, he knows the bad light can be offered so taken the powerplay and start some hitting to stay above required rate.

186/5 the last reliable pair dhoni and yousuf on the ground, we can pull this one untill we don't loose another two wickets in quick sessions.

Sad yuvraj didn't get a fifty, dhoni's praising might have taken a toll on him :D

India won by D/L method by 16 runs.
What i find amusing is that everyone is showering praises on Dhoni, Yuvraj or other players for recent wins be it Tests or One dayers but the person who hasnt been credited IMO is Gary Kirsten! He is such a refreshing change after the Chappell fiasco. A quiet guy who makes no fuss in media or any quarrels with the team members and is going on with his job in a very efficient manner.
I think for once Selectors have done a damn good job in picking up the coach! :)

@ harry agree with you there, he seems to be the only Indian coach till date who does not want the spotlight on him. Hats off to him for taking this route.

Yeah I agree Kirsten is quite good in being the sort of guy who just goes on with his job..not the one for hogging the limelight.

I am not sure what all he has done with team but then hey we are winning..so he must have something!

Keep on going Gary!clap:

Its been said: that it's good if the coach or the keeper ain't talked about, they are doing well.
P.S not applicaple if keeper = captain.
Kudos to team India! They are doing great over the last couple of months.
Just a Q. Tendulkar coming into the next match whom should he relace?

As per reports he has replaced vijay and in the playing 11 i think Raina might be missing.

I would prefer Rohit Sharma being replaced. Raina had played well in the 1st match. Rohit Sharma hasnt been consistent off late.

True but he seems to be having a major jack in the team so dont see him getting replaced.

Yeah thats what I feel too Harry! Anyone knows how "good" his domestic record is?

Yup
Rohit Sharma

Cricinfo - Players and Officials - Rohit Sharma

IMO not an exceptional domestic record and there are many players in domestic circuit with far better one but then to succeed you just dont need talent but your Boss hand on your head too!

Tendulkar coming in? Nah. Keep him out. 12th man.
Don't change a winning combination.
Whitewash England 7-0.
Go India!!!

Haha Addy . You think they ll keep him as 12th man?

Cricinfo - Who will Tendulkar replace?

Quote:

The man almost certain to miss out is Rohit Sharma, whose recent form has been indifferent at best. In 14 games dating back to the Asia Cup, Rohit averages 20.90, with just one half-century. Suresh Raina has averaged 44.38 in the same period and played some crucial knocks. His effervescence in the field - not that Rohit is a slouch - should also help him keep his place.
From cricinfo article.

Banglore guys!!! whats happening with the rain, look up the sky and tell us will it stop or should I plan for a movie?? What a waste of a sunday evening.

I don't have any hope on the match resuming.

In the meanwhile, did you people notice the humor in cricinfo during the 12th over which Anderson bowled.

11.2 - Sehwag hits a four
11.4 - Another four
Cricinfo: Flintoff, Pietersen and Anderson converge to discuss the economic recession.lol:

11.6 Anderson to Sehwag, SIX, not sure what they just discussed, but if it results it rubbish like that, India will encourage them to speak six times an over! Anderson repeats another half-tracker and Sehwag swivels and hammers it flat over midwicket for six
