I say no Pakistani player must be allowed to play in India - be it the ICL or the IPL.

And these Afridis and Rashid Latifs and Zaheer Abbas' who are asking for cricketing ties to be cut off with India - I say please do it and watch your players die paupers. :D

Back to business -

Should Dravid be playing tomorrow ?

Yea.
Give the guy a chance man. He has served India in situations where no one could have .
He's got the nerves of steel and the technique bettered by some great few.

I still feel he has it in him, but is not able to put that down on his hands.
May his good form return and we see a masterful innings sooner .

I agree but what if he fails again ?

What if he fails again

Have you ever seen a cricketer who has not failed in his life.

Take sachin or even lara or even steve waugh. Take the whole West Indies for example. Have they never failed.

I just feel its a bad stage he's going through which I'm sure if not in this test, will end in the 1st series in 2009

Abhinav - I know many have failed but things are different for Dravid this time - time's running out for him.

"The Chennai test marked Sehwag’s unofficial coronation as the greatest Test batsman in contemporary cricket"

Quote:

Sehwag has been undervalued because he is an original. His take on opening the innings is so radically contrary to cricket’s conventional wisdom that he had to suffer being seen as something of a freak. There was a period when he was seen as unsound against shortpitched bowling, a radical defect in an opening batsman. The fact that he scored big hundreds in quick time all over the world wasn’t enough to persuade the pundits.
Sehwag's murderous assult on day 4 meant India had score just 256 on final day, which they did eventually.
Quote:

It was appropriate that Sachin Tendulkar finished what Sehwag began, and rather wonderful that the two most gifted batsmen India has ever produced should have collaborated to concoct this amazing triumph. To have one little Master was a privilege; to have two in the same team producing their best is a benediction.

I agree with you sir. But failing again wont mean an end to his career ( atleast thats what i think ). He's a former captain. One of the senior most players. Has many match winning knocks to his name. Known as Mr. Dependable. I guess tomorrow is the day we will again call him that. I just have the feeling .

But ya. he has to do something, to shut the mouths of the people just like Sachin does on many occasions.

EDIT :
Diabloo, that was an innings worth recording and watching again and again.
The way he smashed the English Bowlers, it was nothing but Fantabulous!

@ diabloo - welcome back man. :D

Where were you ? We kinda missed you in here. And a very apt post too, for a comeback. :)

Hahahahah!! And he starts again! Welcome back Diabloo!

Ahh I would love to see him bat and get a big one under his belt.clap:

India should have fielded. With Zaheer on song and the weather, it was ideal.

Nopes. I think the English batsmen are in reasonable form. Plus this pitch being prepared at a short notice, 4th innings might have been tough.
Good that we are batting first.
