Kohli does not fit into the T20 team of the decade. Has he done any serious exploits there? Alyssa Healy and Mitchell Starc in respective ODI teams of the decade. That is what you call a power couple.

2929 runs (highest run scorer in the format), more than 1500 runs while chasing.
25 50+ scores (most in the format); 16 while chasing.
Average of 51 (2nd best; min 1000 runs), SR of 140.
If these are not exploits then I don't what is and what will be.

My bad. Thanks for the details. Somehow I didn't notice his T20 exploits till now. May be because of my inherent liking for hitman :D

Kohli is one of the few players who have done significantly better at T20Is than in IPL except for that one season where he scored 4 centuries.

He was actually by far the best t20i bat till 2016/17 or so but has tapered off a bit since, especially while chasing. I still can't believe we lost the 2016 world cup given the kind of form he was in. Now, I would rate Rahul higher than Kohli followed by Rohit in T20Is while Kohli is still the best ODI bat with Rohit very close.

Hope to wake up tomorrow to know India will be chasing around 80 runs. And then watch Gill score a quick fire 50 hitting the winning runs in some style :Cheering:

If you ask me, we should keep the target below 36 this time round. :D

And I want the target to be exact 36. That'll be poetic.

Buttt..... I have a bad feeling about tomorrow

I have a bad feeling as well. Our inability to clean up the Innings may come to haunt us again.

Aussies have done well to survive till the new ball. I think it's game on. Anything more than 100 to get is going to be extremely tricky for us.

Edit: Bumrah got us the much needed breakthrough. Hope we can clean-up the tail now.

New Ball taken, Oz lead by 26 runs, with 3 wickets in hand, another 10/20 more runs Max, it'll be sweet revenge.rl:

Cameron Green took the lead past 36! This will be a tricky run chase of around 100 runs for the Indians!

The pitch seems to have eased out, won't be easy to clean up the Aussie tail quickly. I think 100-150 target likely and may end up being a close match since India won't find it easy to chase down those runs.

Edit:Cameron Green out, Siraj strikes!

India need 70 runs for a win, almost double the number of runs they scored in the second inning of the first test :D
There aren't any demons in the pitch, just need some focussed batting to knock those runs off, god and our batsmen willing :)

Great performance from the bowlers, they have been exceptional, specially seeing how we lost umesh so soon in first innings. Loads of respect to them, the tail still managed to put around 30 more then they should have, but we have seen worse.

Hopefully batsman can finish this calmly now and we don't have much drama in second innings.

2 down already and 47 still needed to win. Getting a case of the jitters now. Trust the Indian team to always make a meal of things.

Watching Pujara get dismissed in that fashion is worrying to say the least.

19-2, this ain't gonna be an easy one! Mayank and Pujara out.

Grit, luck and some tamed aggression will hopefully get us over the line. Rahane's usual tactic in the past has been to hit his way out when pressured but then that comes with risk too.
