Online Volvo Bus booking by MSRTC

MSTRC has finally started the online Volvo bus bookings through their website as below.

Now it is very easy to book the Shivneri bus(Volvo) either from Thane or Dadar or Borivali to Pune and vice versa. All you have to do is register and start booking tickets. The website displays the fare, availability, stop details for the selected timing. No need to go to the bus stand, wait in the queue for the tickets. Above all you can book the tickets of you choice online where the website shows the booking position available. Also payment is by card credit/debit.

Recently I got a ticket booked for my wife and son travelling from Thane to Pune (Swargate) for the 3 pm bus. Although it was clearly mentioned on the ticket to carry identity proof, my wife failed to do so. However there was no strict checking, the conductor on viewing the e-ticket for formality asked if my wife had the identity proof and without waiting for an answer just moved on to check other tickets.

All in all a good service started by MSRTC. Hope they do well.

@Ghodlur. This service by MSRTC has been launched snice quite someimte now.

Good experience . saves the hassle of going to a Bus stand for sudden travels.
