Music Album reviews!

Guys, I searched throughout this forum, but dint find any thread where we can discuss & share our reviews on new music albums or songs. All i found was threads about what you like while driving or which made an emotional impact.

Why not discuss about the newly launched albums in a separate thread, just like we have a separate thread for reviews on movies?

This would also help people like me who are unaware of the newly launched albums!

Good thread but strangely no participation at all :(

Anyway, haven't heard any new hindi albums recently. Last what I heard and liked from Bollywood was "Wake Up Sid". Good songs overall but "Iktara" steals the show, amazing song. 8/10

Last music CD bought was Rudaali, old songs but I just love the music of Bhupen Hazarika. 9/10.

Name of Album: Jhootha hi Sahi
Genre: Bollywood

Have heard to just 1 song - cry cry. Its fantastic. Starts off with superbly composed african beats. Winner all the way

Album Rating: Pending.

Name of the album: Tracy Chapman Collection
Artist: Tracy Chapman
Genre: Alt rock/Folk
Language: English
Your rating out of 10: 9.5/10
Your review: I heard of this artist but never listened to any of her songs. I do not like Afro American muscular female voice for any songs other than Hip-hops. Picked this CD last week from landmark and did not even bother to open it for next couple of days. When started listening I was like wow!!. She has a very unique voice and style. I fell in love with her songs within an hour of listening. Same CD is playing in home and car for the last few days. All songs in this collection are very good. I am not an expert but this album is a real gem.

I'm with you - Red Hot Chilli Peppers new Album

For all you RCHP Fans out there, the new album by RHCP is out I'm with you.

This album is a typical RHCP album, though I do mist John Frusciantes signing and Guitaring sorely - this is a typical Funky Bass and drum sound with Anthonys vocals.

A 7 on 10 album for me.

But for RHCP Fants this album is a must hear - below is the track listing
1. Monarchy Of Roses 4:11
2. Factory Of Faith 4:19
3. Brendan's Death Song 5:38
4. Ethiopia 3:50
5. Annie Wants A Baby 3:40
6. Look Around 3:28
7. The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie4:42
8. Did I Let You Know 4:21
9. Goodbye Hooray 3:52
10. Happiness Loves Company 3:33
11. Police Station 5:35
12. Even You Brutus? 4:01
13. Meet Me At The Corner 4:21
14. Dance, Dance, Dance 3:45

For me personally Monarchy of Roses, Factory of Faith, Ethiopia, Police Station, Even you Brutus ? are a must listen.

Happy listening.

Cheers,
ac

Re: Music Album reviews!

FINALLY! A thread that I can contribute to!

There are so many artists I listen to and my current favourite albums are "RENAISSANCE", by Beyoncé and "SOS" by SZA. My favourites change quite often, but these two albums are amazing, there isn't any argument.

Here's my playlist if anyone out there wants to have a look!
It has been downsized to a large extent, and it will inevitably expand.
