I have also received such calls many times. They know every detail about me. The vehicle I drive and address.
Upon asking them from where they got these details, they said they got it from Ford.
All details out in the open shared with ‘n’ number of companies like these.
Very difficult for me to let them go initially; they keep on pestering with offers and I simply cut the call.
Once, I told them that just yesterday itself, I attended the party and presentation at the hotel. Upon hearing this, they immediately cut the call. This is the best way to deal with them and to quickly shut them up. rl:
Putting up a quick update here again:
With lots of scam/fraud/banking (credit card etc.) calls being received, I quickly reinstalled DND app from TRAI and started reporting these calls. While few reports, post their investigation led to "service based calls" and hence no action, lots of telemarketers were given warnings and their numbers blocked by TRAI for 30days.
Added bonus hardly get 1-2 calls a week now!
Very happy indeed.

I too was getting a lot of calls for credit cards, loans, Club Mahindra etc. Whenever I questioned the caller where they got my number from as mine in a Full DND registered number, they said they have it on their "database".
I downloaded the DND app 3-4 month ago and started reporting those calls. As per the SMS replies received from my Mobile co, the numbers get warned/blacklisted/put under restricted usage depending upon the number of times they get reported.
Now I hardly get any such calls. So, yes, it is very effective at keeping a check on the unsolicited telemarketing menace.

DND is also now available as a service on UMANG app. That's available for IOS. You could try that. Although I haven't used it yet.

If you are Jio user, you can raise a complain via myJio app. Its under settings->DND
Recently I have been raising complain for each call I get. The frequency of call has reduced after this.

After seeing your post, I also reported a total of around 9-10 calls with both my operators- Jio and Airtel. I was anyway fed up with Bajaj Capital calling for loans as many as 4-5 times a day. I reported to both telecom operators through the DND feature in their apps. However, both operators returned the same messages after 5-6 days of complaint that they couldn’t trace any such call from the numbers I reported and hence they cannot take any action. This is bizarre.
On the positive side though, I’ve seen reduction in number of calls received from such offenders.
I use a service called
Doosra. You can install the app and it provides us with a phone number, I give that number to everybody like dealers, real estate agencies to get OTPs etc. Really helpful.

I report via email. An email that is exactly as per screenshot below.
Note: The subject line must have your 10-digit mobile number for their CRM software to link the email to your account. Rest of it can be free-form text.

Hi.
In the App, just go to your number profile and select shortcuts and then DND. Please check the screen shots. Trust that will help.
Thank you Saket and Binand. I shall try both the methods.
I'm fed up with these promotional spam calls regarding personal loans and what not. I get daily minimum 3 calls from axis bank regarding loans. I told them n times not to call me still they shamelessly keep calling. Is there way to block these calls for Jio users? My number is already registered with the national do not call registry, but it's all in vain

I had gotten same response for couple of complaints. From my experience, the call should have been picked up. for some reason it doesn't work for missed calls. Also date should be entered correctly while registering complaint.

Thanks for your response. The calls were picked up and reported just after. Hope telecom companies are not avoiding taking any action by this response.
