Best Institute to join for MBA Preparation

Dear Bhp-ians, need your help in deciding a good coaching institution for CAT preparation 2011. Each & every institute promises a sure shot guarantee in IIMs & quoting exuberent numbers. I wanted your help in deciding the best institute on the basis of your experience. Kindly quote the pros & cons of each, if possible

Give TathaGat a shot. Have heard a lot of good reviews from friends.
Pros:
Excellent Teachers
Limited students (~300)
Teachers are the owners so they are result oriented and a little less money minded

Cons:
New Establishment
Study Material Not comparable to CL's
Can't judge results based on mocks as limited students

Time is mostly Classroom based teaching. A friend of mine in IMS/CL , not sure which , said that they have a study group based method ( think of it like institutionalized combined study )

Varun - Whichever institute you opt for, either go for the North Campus center or somewhere near IIT Delhi. Thats where you will get the best peer group to study with.

I would not recommend joining a center at any other place, even if its close to your residence.

Forget to add:
Most of the students of TG are BTech students. And by most I mean around 90-95%.
But from what I have seen, CL, CP and TIME, Paharganj have the best staff. And with so many classes and kids, its not difficult to find people who have there aims set and are focussed to crack the CAT.

CL is decent from what I have heard.
Whats more important is how regular one is with their mock analysis etc. Follow pagalguy, that helped me quite a bit (for benchmarking, tips etc)
Meanwhile, I'd suggest a lot of reading. Read as many newspapers, blogs, editorials, books etc. That's going to help you in CAT, in GD/PIs, in job interviews and in life in general.

^^ +1 to that. Follow Pagalguy.com , it is the 'Team-BHP' of MBA Preparation.

Regarding classes, IMS/Time/CL all are good, but a lot of it depends upon which branch you are attending, and the faculty over there. Inquire on Pagalguy regarding the same, am sure you would get better replies. If you are well versed with Quants, and reasonably good in English, joining a test series will also do.

More than which coaching institute, its the particular branch of an institute (peer group as someone said) that makes all the difference. I did mine from IMS kailash colony which was about 22 km from my home in noida simply because the quality of student is much better there than any other branch in Noida. This was testified the faculties which taught at multiple IMS centres. I don't have any updated info as my time was a few years ago but I was very satisfied with my IMS experience. Everything from faculties, study-material, GDs, mock tests etc. was superb.

TIME has good material overall, especially for quant and LR. IMS is pretty good for the verbal section.

You have Byjus now which is pretty decent for math/LR. For test series, would recommend TIME's AIMCATs. They were quite helpful during my time!
