Guys,

I am looking for Mobil1 or Castrol Synthetic oil in thane or mulund area in bombay / mumbai. Do you know any shop / dealer / distributor who keeps Mobil-1 or Castrol Synthetic oil for cars and bike in mumbai ? Any telephone number or address will be highly appricated. I searched allot here and there but nobody keeps these oils in thane, mumbai.

Dude try Sarvoday Nagar-Mulund (Nr. Sarvodaya temple), i'm sure u'l get it there cause it has like 15-20 car accesry shops there.

Guys, is it okay to use 20-W50 oil in my New Honda City ? car specs says to use W40 grade oil but shell synthetic is W50 grade ? Please suggest ?

Since we are at this topic, whats the normal oil change interval if I use shell/helix ultra or Mobil one in a car with normal oil change interval of 10000kms?
I was told that in such cars like santro etc., synthetic oils can last for 30000kms?

Also the shell website says the ultra is good for diesels too. Whats the cost as compared to castrol GTX?

I used OWS 10W40 for my friends Accent CRDi. It felt a lot smoother,and refined. I pay Rs.500/litre. The guys at hyundai asked to change the oil after 10000 kms. We sold the car after 4000 kms .

hi, sorry to bring this ancient post back from the dead, but I urgently need to know where to find shell helix ultra synthetic oil in Mumbai. I'm giving my car for its scheduled service on Monday and I want to switch to synthetic.

I'd also be very happy to know where to get engine oil flush, as I'll be switching from mineral oil to synthetic and would like to do it in the 'proper' manner.

I live in Bandra, so anything in that general area would be best.

i dunno about shell but you can get mobil1 at 625 per litre at city motors, opera house. they will also have engine flush etc.

Anybody have any idea about this? I called the Skoda dealerships, apparently they didnt have Shell Helix Ultra with them and sent me to the HP pump at the start of Linking road but they were trying to sell me their own mineral oil, saying that "synthetic oil bahut mengha hai".

I need oil urgently!

why not just use mobil1?
