for all those travelling to Mumbai from Navi mumbai, Pune. and beyond. and the other way round

to prevent ppl from fooling the government by bypassing the toll naka at vashi gaon, work has started for the new toll naka, at the start of the vashi creek bridge towards mumbai and end of the vashi creek bridge towards vashi. the lanes for the vehicles to pass are too small and there are only two of them each side for the time being.

secondly during the evening or night time there are no street lights at all and they havent even put any refelctors to warn the commuters.

this is just a piece of information for those travelling as we would be prepared beforehand.

there have already been two accidents in last weeks time at that particular place.

You mean they have just now started work on that new toll plaza? I have a friend whose father works in PWD and I knew 2 years back that the toll plaza would be shifted close to the thane creek bridge! They had even widened and marked out the toll booth area on the roads last year.

I really don't know what kind of idiots are in charge of road design and construction in our country. You don't have to be from IIT to know that you have to put up reflectors or markers warning drivers of construtiion. And many of the engineers are from IIT and other prestigious institutes. I just don't know what to say. These things are so basic and authorities are not even aware of what they are supposed to do.......

The PWD has already finished work on the road that comes through Vashi Station. That road is already closed , the only way to avoid the toll now is through the underground pass at sector 7.
